Matthijs Aerts Eliminated in 10th Place ($54,831)

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Matthijs Aerts
Matthijs Aerts

John Andress moved all in from the cutoff for about 700,000. Matthijs Aerts called from the small blind for his last 300,000 as he lost a lot of small pots to have less than ten big blinds left.

John Andress: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}
Matthijs Aerts: {J-Spades}{7-Spades}

The {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} flop was good for Aerts and the {6-Clubs} was a blank, but the river was the {K-Diamonds} and Aerts was eliminated from the tournament.

Sam Greenwood Eliminated in 11th Place ($41,721)

Nível 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood has exited the event in 11th place after losing the majority of his chips to Mike Watson.

Watson raised to 60,000 on the button and Greenwood three-bet from the small blind. Watson moved all in for around 600,000 and Greenwood called.

Mike Watson: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Same Greenwood: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Board: {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}

Watson was in great shape to double preflop, and the board was good to him. The former moved up over 1.4m, as Greenwood was left with just five big blinds.

Just a couple of hands later Greenwood moved all in for 140,000 from the cutoff, and Shaun Deeb raised to 240,000 on the button. Both players in the blinds folded and Greenwood needed help from the board to survive with {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Deeb held {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and after the five cards came down, he was still ahead and Greenwood exited in 11th place.

With ten players remaining, there are now two tables of five players after Romain Lewis was moved to the feature table to restore the balance.

Martin Zamani: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Board: {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Ankush Mandavia raised to 480,000 leaving himself with only 60,000 behind. Todd Ivens called and the two saw a flop.

Ivens put him immediately all in and Mike Watson asked the floor staff when he was allowed to call the clock. Mandavia ended up calling within the time and they opened up.

Ankush Mandavia: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Todd Ivens: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out with the {5-Spades} turn and the {Q-Clubs} river and Mandavia got sent to the rail in 13th place.

Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

Michael Addamo just lost two all-ins in a row to be eliminated in the first level of Day 3.

In the first hand, he got it all in with Scott Margereson, who he had covered and came out behind.

Margereson held {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Addamo had {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. The board ran clean for Addamo until the river came the {10-Hearts} to give Margereson a pair and secured his double-up.

Addamo was left with around 300,000, and in the very next hand he raised and four-bet all in after Martin Zamani had three-bet him. Zamani called and tabled his dominating pocket pair.

Michael Addamo: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Martin Zamani: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Board: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Zamani flopped a full house and had secured the pot by the turn. Addamo, who won his first bracelet during the summer in Event #24: THE MARATHON - $2,620 No-Limit Hold'em, took 16th place which was good for $32,700.

Mike Watson and Anthony Zinno got their chips in the middle before there were any community cards dealt.

Zinno was holding {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and had the better hand against Watson's {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The board came down {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and with that Zinno suddenly did not have the best hand anymore and he was eliminated in 17th place.
