The largest event of the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) will fill the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Saturday morning as the fourth installment of the COLOSSUS kicks off at 10 AM local time in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Event #7: $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold’em has been a marvel of the WSOP for the past three years with the field reaching as much as 22,374 back in its inaugural running in 2015.

The first two starting flights get underway on Saturday followed by four more over the course of the next three days. Each day offers a 10 AM and 5 PM start. Day 1's will play 18 30-minute levels with 20-minute breaks every four levels. Late registration will be open until the start of Level 9 allowing one re-entry per player, per flight.

Players will begin with a starting stack of 5,000 and blinds at 25/50. Anyone able to survive the first 18 levels of the COLOSSUS and bag a stack will guarantee themselves a trip to the payout desk no matter how the rest of their journey unfolds.

A top prize of $1,000,000 is guaranteed to the eventual champion, joining last year's victor, Thomas Pomponio, 2016 winner, Ben Keeline, and the inaugural title-holder, Cord Garcia, in the prestigious club. The size of the field has shrunk since its inception but the top-prize has grown. Both Pomponio and Keeline were benefactors of the guaranteed first-place prize while Garcia's cut was $638,880.

Stewart Flops Best to Double

Not the start he would have liked but as Scott Stewart said after the hand, "Just call me Ricky Bobby." Stewart saw his stack dwindle to 1,750 but a recent double up has him almost back to starting.

Stewart was all-in and at risk preflop holding the up against his opponent's . The board ran out and although the first card they saw was a queen, a welcomed seven followed behind it and Stewart collected the pot.
