Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of Event #60: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.
There were 218 players who took part in the action on Day 1 and 125 of them will be back in the mix today. Registration, however, is still open until the cards are in the air at 2 p.m.
On top of the chip counts to begin the day is Nathan Gamble, leading the way with a stack of 312,800. He is followed by Cliff Josephy (295,100), Jason Berilgen (263,700), Chad Power (247,000) and Joao Simao (226,800) to round out the top five counts.
A plethora of other big names remain in the field, and among them is defending champion Bryce Yockey, sitting with an above-average stack of 93,700. Also returning on Day 2 is Eli Elezra (195,100), Scott Bohlman (184,200), Ari Engel (153,400), Brian Rast (131,900), Daniel Negreanu (92,900), Joey Couden (65,200) and Mike Matusow (46,100).

Nathan Gamble opened with a raise to 4,800 from middle position and Magnus Edengren called from the small blind.
The flop came down and Edengren checked over to Gamble. Gamble put out a bet of 6,500 and immediately, Edengren check-raised to 25,000.
Gamble mulled it over for a bit then ultimately decided to fold, so Edengren took down the pot.

Nick Schulman opened with a raise to 4,000 and he was called by Sebastian Langrock on the button. Action folded to the big blind where David Shane moved all in 17,000 total. Schulman called while Langrock folded.

The board ran out and that allowed Shane's aces to hold up, earning him a double. Schulman has had a good start to the day though, increasing his stack by nearly five times what he started with, so the small dent didn't hurt him too much.

Phil Galfond opened from the cutoff with a raise to 5,000 and he was called by Barny Boatman in the small blind and Bryce Yockey in the big blind.
The flop was and action checked around to the on the turn. There, Boatman led out with a bet of 7,500 which both Galfond and Yockey called.
On the river, Boatman slowed down with a check. Yockey then put out a bet of 17,500 and Galfond folded. Boatman mulled it over a while too then folded as well, allowing the defending champion of this event to take down the pot and chip up to nearly 150,000.

Both Joao Simao and Scott Bohlman had 21,600 worth of bets in front of them on the turn with the board showing . Bohlman was first to act and he checked to Simao. Simao decided to bet, making it 11,800 total. Bohlman thought it over for a bit, then called.
The river was the and Bohlman thought for about thirty seconds before checking. Simao then cut out a bet of 57,700 and pushed it foward. Bohlman goraned then called.

Simao rivered a flush as well as the nut low and that would earn him three-quarters of the big pot as Bohlman only had a pair of aces and the nut low as well. The two chopped the low pot while Simao scooped the high pot for a nice chunk.
