Day 1e of Event #6: $365 GIANT No-Limit Hold’em began at 7pm local time and had 2,400 players on the clock at the start. The total number of players ended up being 4,347 at the end of the late registration period, with only 280 players bagging up at the end of Day 1e.

Alexander Lakhov ended the day with an enormous 1,720,000 in chips. Thai Ha also bagged up over a million in chips and he’ll be starting with 1,180,000. Other players that bagged sizable stacks are Kai Munster (675,000), Daniel Herschman (504,000) and two-time bracelet winner Steven Wolansky (455,000).

Combined, the four prior starting flights already boasted 4,573 runners, with Day 1e almost doubling that with an enormous 4,347 player entries.

The Day 1e money bubble burst at 653 players, all of whom were guaranteed a min-cash of $548. Players that tried to make it through to Day 2 but fell by the wayside included Barry Greenstein, Chris Moneymaker, Jeff Gross and Greg Raymer, all of whom failed to make the money. Players that did reach the money but didn’t make it to Day 2 include Julien Polge and Chris Ferguson.

Day 2 will start on Saturday, 30 June at 2pm local time and will play fifteen 40-minute levels, or until they reach the final table. Stay tuned to PokerNews to follow the action.
