The final 104 ladies return to battle at 12 p.m. today for Day 2 of Event #57: $10,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship (with a $9,000 discount for women). The 696 entries generated a prize pool of $626,400 and the champion this year will receive $130,230 to go with the WSOP gold bracelet.
Mesha James is the biggest stack to start the day with 130,200 chips and hopes to make her first deep run in the Ladies Event. Rounding out the tops stacks are Vesna Kuzmanic (102,700), Jill Pike (94,300), Hana Cho (90,400), and Alexis Sterner (85,700).
With the fall of Heidi May and Svetlana Gromenkova yesterday before the money was reached, a new Ladies Event champion will be crowned this year. Some other notables still looking to be that champion include Natasha Mercier (63,700), Danielle Andersen (56,500), Jessica Dawley (51,000), Lacey Jones (50,700), Melanie Weisner (47,000), Kristy Arnett (38,500), Gaelle Baumann (37,000), and Cyndy Violette (14,300) who is the only bracelet winner left in the field.

Day 2 will feature 10 more one-hour levels of play with 15-minute breaks every two levels and a one-hour dinner break after the sixth level, or around 6:30 p.m. All of the returning players are already in the money, with each guaranteed at least $1,605.

Monika Zukowicz opened to 2,500 under the gun, and Debra Keller called on the button.
The flop came . Zukowicz bet 2,300, Keller raised to 5,800, and Zukowicz called.
The turn brought the and it was checked around to the river. Zukowicz checked again. Keller threw in a bet of 14,000. Zukowicz went deep into the tank, staring at her opponent, and after a few minutes of reflection proceeded to make the call.
Keller tabled for a rivered set, and Zukowicz tossed her hand in the muck.

The board was showing on a raised pot and Asako Kitamura was already all in. Natasha Mercier fired a bet of 36,000, putting Weiyi Mo into a difficult decision. The latter ended up folding and the two remaining players tabled their cards.
