Violette Eliminates Brown

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Cyndy Violette
Cyndy Violette

Cyndy Violette and Traci Brown were all in preflop, and Brown was at risk for her survival in the tournament. Holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, Violette had the best hand against {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for Brown, and the {k-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board gave Violette trip kings.

Violette, who won the $2,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better in 2004, has now a stack around 30,000.

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Mesha James
Mesha James

Maria Kalantzi opened to 3,000 and Eli Sundbakk moved all in for 8,600. The action folded to Mesha James on the button who made a raise. Kalantzi after some thought chose to fold, and the other two showed their hands:

Eli Sundbakk: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Mesha James: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Sundbakk was in a good shape for a double-up, but a board {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} gave a set of eights to James on the river and sent Sundbakk into the cashier.

Montoya Eliminated by Baumann

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Michelle Montoya opened to 3,200 from middle position, and Gaelle Baumann called from the cutoff.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Montoya checked. Baumann bet 3,000, and Montoya called. The dealer burned and turned the {j-Spades}. Montoya checked, and Baumann continued for 3,500 more. Montoya responded by moving all in for around 9,000, and Baumann snap-called.

Gaelle Baumann: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Michelle Montoya: {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {2-Spades} river completed the board to give Baumann the hand, and Montoya was sent to the rail.

Schaeffer Finds Aces

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Nathalie Schaeffer fell down to 8,400 chips, moved all in and Rhoda Abramowitz made the call from the big blind with a lesser stack of around 6,000.

Holding {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, Schaeffer was in good shape to win the hand against {10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for Abramowitz. The flop {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} gave some outs to Abramowitz, but the {4-Clubs}{7-Spades} turn and river weren't among them and Abramowitz headed to the rail.

Baumann Sends One to the Rail

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Dorothy Russell pushed all in for her last 7,500 and Gaelle Baumann made the call on the button. Holding {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, Baumann was in a coin flip situation against Russell who had {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, and the {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} gave Baumann the winning hand and sent Russell to the exit.
