Katz Throws Nitsche for a Loop

Nível 3 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche opened with a raise to 8,000 from the cutoff. Cary Katz called from the small blind.

The flop was {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Katz checked over to Nitsche. Nitsche put out a bet of 10,000 and Katz called quickly.

On the {5-Spades} turn, Katz decided to change it up and led out with a bet of 15,000. Nitsche dropped into the tank and thought for nearly his entire 30 seconds before calling. While Nitsche was tanking, Katz jokingly faked as if he was going to put his cards in the muck.

"Ok," Katz said. "Good hand. I check dark."

The river was the {K-Clubs} and with action on Nitsche, he scratched his head before checking back. Katz showed {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} but it was no good as Nitsche held {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a better pair.

"So confusing," Nitsche said.

"You stopped him from value betting at least," Larry Greenberg said, also at the table.

"Or value jamming," Katz said.

Nitsche took down the pot and moved to over 700,000 while Katz slipped to around 150,000.
