Yu Takes from Beylin; Zazay Wins One

Nível 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Ben Yu and Konstantin Beylin in the hijack, the board showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and Yu bet 175,000. Beylin called and mucked when Yu flashed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a flopped full house.

No big hands happened on the other tables and the next hand saw Yu raise it up to 55,000 once more. He picked up no fewer than three callers in Omar Zazay in the cutoff, Sam Soverel on the button and Len Ashby in the small blind.

There was no betting action on the {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and {6-Clubs} turn. The {K-Hearts} river was checked through to Zazay, who made it 125,000 to go. That ended up taking down the pot uncontested.

Palarino Doubles Through Owen

Nível 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Jeffrey Palarino_Adam Owen
Jeffrey Palarino_Adam Owen

In a battle of the blinds, Jeffrey Palarino limped in and called a pot size raise to 60,000 by Adam Owen from one seat over. On the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop, Palarino ended up all in and at risk for 218,000 via check raise and Owen, who had him covered, caught a brief glimpse of Palarino's cards while they waited for the other tables to finish.

“Why did you even call? Palarino asked before the cards were turned over.

"That's pretty good," Owen smirked and that was not a good sign. Once the showdown proceeded, the following cards were turned over.

Jeffrey Palarino: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Adam Owen: {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The {10-Hearts} turn improved Palarino to a straight, but now he had to fear hearts, as Owen had picked up a flush draw. A blank {2-Diamonds} on the river ensured the double for Palarino and Owen was sent into the role of short stack once more.

Whatever Ben Yu has had during the dinner break, it definitely paid off as he slowly but surely soared to the top of the leader board, dragging in pot after pot.

Just now, Yu raised first to act and was called by Sam Soverel in the cutoff. On the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop both players opted to check, Yu then bet the {9-Spades} turn for 80,000 and Soverel called. On the {2-Hearts} river, Yu bet the pot for 326,000 and Soverel folded.
