Hunichen Busts to Kalb

Nível 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

There were already plenty of chips in the middle with the flop showing {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Chris Hunichen ended up all in and at risk with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for top pair and an open-ended straight draw. He was dominated by the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} of Jacob Kalb and the latter filled up to a full house with the {7-Hearts} on the turn.

Hunichen needed one of the two remaining jacks in the deck, instead it was a blank {8-} that fell on the river to eliminate Hunichen.

Perry Takes From Mercier

Nível 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Joining the action on the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Ralph Perry checked in the big blind and Jason Mercier bet 8,000 into 31,000 in the cutoff. Perry check-raised to 50,000 and Mercier called.

On the {9-Hearts} turn, Perry asked "how much is in the pot?" and received an instant answer from the dealer for 131,000. Perry bet 125,000 with fewer chips than that behind, and Mercier folded.

Sam Stein raised to 15,000 from the hijack, Hokyiu Lee called from the button, Jason Koon three-bet to 66,000 from the small blind, Stein called and Lee called.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Koon bet the pot of 204,000. Stein folded, Lee raised all in for about 535,000 and Koon called.

"I'm just gambling," said Lee, who showed {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for bottom pair with a flush draw, while Koon tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a pair of kings.

The {K-Hearts} turn and {4-Clubs} river completed the board, further improving Koon to trips while eliminating Lee.

Owen Shy of a Million After Busting Calara

Nível 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Adam Owen
Adam Owen

The action started with a raise from under the gun by Len Ashby and Mandy Calara called in the cutoff. Adam Owen raised it up for the size of the pot and Ashby folded, while Calara called. On the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Calara bet the pot and called all in after Owen had raised to create the following showdown.

Mandy Calara: {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Adam Owen: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

While Calara had flopped best with bottom two pair and the open-ended straight draw, he was far from securing a double up as Owen held the nut flush draw. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Owen improved to the flush and the {K-Spades} river failed to help Calabra. The table broke right after and Owen carried over a stack of almost one million to his new seat assignment.
