Goatz Busts But Splits the Money

In the first round of hand-for-hand, there were two all-ins and calls, as Phil Goatz exited, but split the money.

Goatz had all his chips in the middle with pocket kings on a board and was called by his opponent who held .
The turn and river was no help for Goatz who exited the event.

But there was some luck for Goatz as at the same time, another player on a different table was all in with on a queen-high board only to see his opponent call with pocket queens, which ended in another elimination.

As the two eliminations happened in the same hand on different tables, Goatz and the other eliminated player chop the 90th place prize of $2,246, for $1,123 each.
