Bicknell Eliminated by Tabb

Nível 9 : 400/800, 200 ante

On the first draw, Daniel Negreanu drew two, Kristen Bicknell drew one and Steven Tabb stood pat.

Negreanu checked and Bicknell bet 4,000. Tabb and Negreanu both called.

Negreanu drew one and both Bicknell and Tabb stood pat. It checked to Tabb who bet 6,700 and Negreanu folded.

"I need to ask a really important question," said Bicknell, before stopping herself. "I call."

The dealer waited for their final draws.

"There's another one?" asked Bicknell. "Oh I check. No more." Tabb also stood pat.

"What is that look!" Bicknell asked tablemate Dario Sammartino, "Now I'm thinking I did something wrong!"

Bicknell checked and Tabb put her all in. She called. Tabb showed {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a number two. Bicknell showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}.

The inquest began, with Bicknell at the forefront of the discussion. "Let me write this hand down, because I really want to learn this game."

"It's a cooler," said Sammartino reassuringly to Bicknell, "But you can play better, for sure."

Hennigan into Chip Lead

Nível 9 : 400/800, 200 ante

James Alexander was the chip leader at a table featuring Anthony Zinno, Roland Israelashvili and John Hennigan, and he may have been the chip leader of the tournament.

However now, he's out. According to Zinno, a big pot involving Alexander's {j-}{j-} and the {a-}{k-} of Hennigan resulted in Hennigan stacking up the chips, and he now sits on close to 90,000.

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 250 ante
Jeff Lisandro
Jeff Lisandro

Big O

The under the gun player had raised to 1,500 and the player in the small blind called. Jeff Lisandro was the big blind and he decided to raise it up to 6,000. Both players called and there was a big pot brewing.

The flop was {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the player in the small blind decided to lead out with a pot-sized bet of 18,600. Lisandro called and the preflop raiser folded his hand.

The {Q-Spades} was the turn and that's where all the chips went to the middle. The player in the small blind pushed all-in for about 25,000 and Lisandro called.

Jeff Lisandro: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Small Blind: {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The river was the {K-Hearts} and there was no low on the board possible. Lisandro won the huge pot with just his pair of aces, eliminating his opponent in the meantime. Lisandro is now the chip leader of the tournament with just over 40 minutes left to play on Day 1.

Dario Sammartino opened the betting action by raising to 2,500. The only player to call was big blind Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu drew two and Sammartino only drew one.

Both players checked after the draw and Sammartino put a {K-} out there. Negreanu laughed and showed {9-}{9-} and Sammartino tabled the rest of his hand, {10-}{8-}{4-}{3-} to take down the pot.

Difelice Doubles With Flush Over Flush

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 250 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

All the cards were dealt when we arrived at the table. Alex Difelice had {A-Spades}{5-Spades} in front of him and his opponent had {10-Spades}{8-Spades} laying in front of him.

The board on the table was {Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and the dealer was counting Difelice's chips because he just earned himself a full double-up right before the end of Day 1.
