Roder Adds Some Chips

On a raised pot, the flop read {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Tonio Roder, as well as Gary Lew, checked. The same action happened on the {3-Spades} turn and the dealer revealed an {a-Hearts} on the river. Roder checked and faced a bet worth 7,000 from Lew. After some thought, he three-bet to 24,000 and Lew chose to fold his hand.

The German player, who cashed three WSOP events this summer, now has a stack worth 78,000.

There were about 15,000 chips in the middle and the board read {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} when we got to the table. Jakob Miegel bet 7,200 from the small blind and Jay Farber called from the big blind.

The {Q-Diamonds} fell on the river and Miegel checked. Farber bet 10,000, and after a bit of time in the tank, Miegel folded and Farber took the pot.

Owens Takes Chips From Roman

The board was showing {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and around 25,000 was already in the middle when Kent Roman bet 16,000. James Owens, situated on the button, three-bet to 40,000. After some time, Roman let it go and Owens grabbed the pot.

Owens, who is cashing his first WSOP event, is now up to 100,000 chips.

Steinman Wins a Small Pot

Ian Steinman opened for 5,000 and it was called by the player one seat over. The flop fell {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Steinman continued for another 5,000, called once more by his opponent.

Both players checked on the {k-Clubs} turn and {7-Hearts} river and Steinman's opponent mucked his hand when the latter turned over {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Steinman is now up to a stack around 230,000 chips.

James Duncan opened and it was raised all in by Patrick Mitchell. Duncan made the call with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Mitchell turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

The board {j-} high brought Duncan the winning hand and eliminated Mitchell of the tournament.

Song Gets a Fold From Massey

There were about 20,000 chips in the pot and the board read {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} when we got to the table. Aaron Massey had bet 7,000 from late middle position, the player in the hijack folded, and Stephen Song called from the button.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and Massey checked. Song bet 18,000, and after brief consideration, Massey called.

The {8-Clubs} hit the river and Massey checked. Song took a few moments before he bet 67,000, sending Massey into the tank. After over a minute, he folded, and Song took the pot.

Baldwin Forces a Fold

A player opened to 5,500 and Eric Baldwin raised to 15,500. The initial raiser called and both players checked on the flop of {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The turn brought a {a-Diamonds} and the initial raiser bet 13,000. Baldwin made the call. On the {4-Hearts} river, after his opponent bet 21,000, Baldwin moved all in for 128,000. After a tank, his opponent folded and Baldwin is now up to 205,000.
