Finstein Takes From Banks

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Kirk Banks opened for 12,000 and Michael Finstein made the call from the big blind. On the flop {9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, Finstein check-called Banks's continuation bet for 13,000.

On the {j-Hearts} turn, Finstein bet 10,000 and Banks called. The river brought a {3-Diamonds} and after Finstein checked, Banks fired 60,000. Finstein thought about it for a moment and ended up calling, showing {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Banks tabled {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, revealing he didn't hit his straight.

Lew Sends One Home

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Lee Guzovsky moved his short stack into the middle from under the gun and Gary Lew called from the big blind to put him at risk.

Lee Guzovsky: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Gary Lew: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

Lew had a huge lead with his kings and Guzovsky needed a lot of help to survive. Neither player connected with the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} board and Lew took the pot to send Guzovsky to the cage.

Song Chips Up

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Song opened to 13,000 and it was only called by Gene Harrill on the button.

Both players checked all the way throughout a {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} board. Song tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Harrill sent his hand into the muck. Song has now a stack above 500,000 chips.

The following players earned $5,462 for their efforts in this event:

Laplante Doubles Through Baldwin

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

On a blind versus blind situation, the board was showing {8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} when Eric Baldwin bet 6,000 from the small blind, and Ryan Laplante called from the big blind

The turn brought a {9-Diamonds} and Balwin tossed a stack of 5,000 chips out, putting Laplante's tournament at risk. The latter snap-called, with 42,000 chips left and turned over {6-Spades}{7-Spades} for the straight. Balwin, holding {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, was behind and the {6-Clubs} river didn't change anything.

Laplante has now a stack worth 100,000.

Miegel Shoves On Lavinson

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

There were about 130,000 chips already in the middle and the completed board read {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades} when we got to the table. Jakob Miegel was in middle position and checked to his lone opponent, Geoffery Lavinson, who was on his immediate left. Lavinson bet 50,000, and after a bit of time in the tank, Miegel check-jammed for about 85,000 total. Lavinson folded and Miegel took the pot.

Tran Doesn't Find a Call From Miegel

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

JC Tran opened in the middle position for 12,000 and only Jakob Miegel in the hijack called.

The flop went {7-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, JC Tran bet 12,000, but Miegel folded after some thinking. Tran showed {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a flopped set of tens, and grabbed the small pot.
