Turner Flops the Nuts

Nível 21 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Omaha-8

With the turn reading {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Jon Turner was out of position, facing Sean Moore's bet. Turner came up with a check-raise and Moore didn't take too long before releasing his hand.

Turner looked at his hand, picked two cards and exposed the {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a flopped nut flush and a nut low draw.

Great Start for Neff

Nível 21 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Omaha-8

Peter Neff came back to just over 10 big bets, but he's already managed to nearly double his stack with under 20 minutes into the first level of the day. His latest chip-injection came in a hand against small blind Robert Mizrachi.

Neff was on the button, raising Mizrachi's bet on the {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} turn when we arrived.

Mizrachi called the raise, but he gave up on the {A-Diamonds} river when Neff fired one more shell.

Ryan Hughes raised from the button to 10,000 and Bart Hanson sat in the big blind with a very short stack. He called to see a flop. The flop was {5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Hanson check-folded to a bet of 12,000 from Hughes.

In the next hand, Hughes raised from the cutoff to 10,000 and small blind Carol Fuchs called. Hughes continued with a bet of 16,000 after they saw the {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop and Fuchs folded.

Full Boat for Jackson

Nível 21 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

PLO-8

Scotter Clark, Mark Gregorich and Robert Jackson made it to the river of the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board, checking the flop and turn.

Action checked to Jackson who fired 26,000 into just over 30,000. Clark folded but Gregorich was interested in seeing his opponent's cards and called.

Jackson turned up {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the nuts and took down the pot.

Eichhorn Eliminated by Turner

Nível 21 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

PLO-8

On one of the first hands of the day, Dennis Eichhorn was in the small blind, three-bet shoving for about 30,000 over Jon Turner's raise to 10,000 from the button. Turner called with tens in his hand.

Dennis Eichhorn: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Jon Turner: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{K-Spades} and Eichhorn stood up, waiting for his payout slip.

"All right, it was nice playing with you guys. Good luck, " Eichhorn said, classy in defeat.

After two days of playing split-pot games, we’re at the third day of Event #35: $1,500 Mixed Omaha featuring pot-limit Omaha Hi-Lo, fixed-limit Omaha Hi-Lo, and Big O (5-Card PLO/8). Out of 773 entries, there are only 31 left and the plan is to play down to winner.

James Alexander ended on top of the leaderboard after Day 2 yesterday, bagging 466,500. At the end of the day, he passed Gabriel Ramos (452,000) and Robert Mizrachi (439,000) to take over the chip lead.

Other familiar faces still in the tournament are Ryan Hughes (276,000), Jon Turner (218,000), Carol Fuchs (215,000), Mark Gregorich (176,000), and Bart Hanson (35,000). All of these players are guaranteed to take home $5,252, but they’re all aiming for the first prize of $211,781 and the WSOP gold bracelet.

Cards will be in the air at 2 p.m. local time and the plan is to play 60-minute levels until there is a winner. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the day’s sixth level. With 31 players still left in the tournament and levels of 60 minutes, there is a very high chance that they won’t finish the tournament today.

However long it goes, PokerNews live reporting team will provide live updates right to the finish, so stick close to see who from those who remain becomes the Event #35 champion.
