The ![]()
![]()
flop was already out and three players were in contention.
There had been a check, followed by a 1,100 bet by Yves Grenon and then a 3,500 three-bet. This pushed the first player off but not Grenon, who moved all in for about 16,000, which was enough to cover his opponent. His opponent called and they turned their cards over. It was top set with ![]()
for Grenon, which gave the ![]()
of the other player just one live card in the deck.
The
made no difference and the
still meant Grenon had the best hand, albeit that it had improved to quads. Grenon collected the pot and started stacking up the 31,200 chips.

There was a lot of interest in the hand preflop but in the end, it came down to just two players who were willing to stake it all on their hands. There was a 400 raise, a flat and another flat by James Akenhead on the button before the big blind squeezed to 2,000. This got the initial raiser out of the way but not Robert Peacock, who moved all-in. James Akenhead quickly folded and the big blind made the call.
Peacock was flipping with ![]()
against ![]()
as the dealer took them to the flop of ![]()

The diamond flop didn't change much but the
turn did, bringing four straight outs that would give the two players a chop. The
river bricked though and Peacocks pair of queens is enough to win the 14,800 pot.
