Hand #11-17: Phillips Flops a Set

Hand #11: Joe McKeehen raised to 15,000 from the hijack and everyone else folded.

Hand #12: Anthony Reategui raised to 17,000 from mid-position and was called by Taylor Wilson in the cutoff. The flop came {J-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Reategui continued with a bet of 25,000 and Wilson folded.

Hand #13: McKeehen raised to 15,000 from mid-position and Sam Phillips called in the big blind. They both checked through the {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} on the flop to the {6-Spades} on the turn. Phillips bet 18,000 and McKeehen called. The river completed the board with the {4-Hearts}, Phillips continued with a bet of 115,000 which made McKeehen fold.

Hand #14: McKeehen raised to 15,000 from mid-position and was called by Jeffrey Trudeau on the button and Ihar Soika in the big blind. The flop came {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Soika checked, McKeehen bet 22,000. Trudeau called and Soika folded. The turn brought them the {9-Diamonds}, McKeehen bet 76,000 and Trudeau folded.

Hand #15: Jack Maskill raised to 15,000 from late position and Joe Cada three-bet to 47,000 from the hijack. Everyone folded including Maskill.

Hand #16: Joshua Turner raised to 15,000 from mid-position and was called by Phillips in the cutoff and Reategui in the big blind. The flop came {4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Reategui checked and Turner bet 31,000. Phillips called and Reategui folded. They both checked through the {9-Clubs} on the turn to the {q-Spades} on the river. Turner tabled {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} but Phillips showed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a flopped set of eights.

The river came the {a-Clubs} and both players checked. Reategui tabled {6-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a missed straight and Soika showed {j-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a queen high, winning the pot.

Hand #7: Taylor Wilson opened to 16,000 from early position and Anthony Reategui called from the small blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades} and action checked to Wilson who bet 13,000. Reategui folded and Wilson scooped in the pot.

Hand #8: Action folded to Joshua Turner in the big blind.

Hand #9: Jack Maskill opened to 15,000 from under the gun and was called by Taylor Wilson in the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades} and action checked to Maskill who bet 30,000. Wilson folded and Maskill won the hand.

Hand #10: Ihar Soika raised to 15,000 from middle position and was called by Taylor Wilson from the small blind. The flop came {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Wilson check-called a bet of 18,000 from Soika.

The turn came the {10-Spades} and both players checked. The {a-Clubs} came on the river and both players checked again. Wilson showed {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for a pair of threes and Soika tabled {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines, taking down the pot.

Hand #2: Ihar Soika raised to 15,000 and was called by Jeffrey Trudeau in the big blind. They both checked through the {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} on the flop and the {4-Hearts} on the turn and the {j-Diamonds} on the river. Trudeau tabled {8-Spades}{7-Clubs} for two pair, eights and fours, to win the hand.

Hand #3: Soika raised to 15,000 from the under-the-gun position and was again called by Trudeau who was now sitting in the small blind. The flop came {2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, Trudeau check-called the 22,000 bet of Soika. The turn brought them the {4-Clubs}, now Trudeau check-folded to the 65,000 bet of Soika.

Hand #4: Taylor Wilson raised to 16,000 from late position and was called by Sam Philips in the small blind. The flop came {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Phillips check-folded to the 14,000 bet of Wilson.

Hand #5: Joshua Turner raised to 14,000 from mid-position and action folded to Trudeau in the cutoff who raised to 42,000. Turner folded.

The final ten players in Event #3: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em SHOOTOUT will be returning today at 12 p.m. to play for not only the $226,218 first prize but also the prestigious WSOP bracelet.

The third event of the WSOP will be giving a minimum of $14,437 to the final table and a pay jump will be happening after every elimination, with the top three getting a six-figure payday.

The final table has two very recognizable names in Joe McKeehen and Joe Cada, who both are main event champions with two bracelets and over $10 million in WSOP cashes. The only other player at the table that has a bracelet is Anthony Reategui who won his bracelet in the 2005 $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout and will be looking to get his second today.

Notable players that will be chasing their first bracelet include Sam Phillips who has almost $2 million in career earnings, Ihar Soika who has $3.2 million in career earnings, Harry Lodge who has just under $1 million in career earnings, and Joshua Turner who has over $1.3 million in career earnings as well as 58 WSOP cashes.
