James Chen Takes One With a Check-Raise

Blake Bohn opened from the cutoff with a raise to 500 and he was called by James Chen in the small blind as well as the player in the big blind.

The flop was {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and all players checked to see the {K-Clubs} come on the turn. Chen checked again to see a bet of 1,100 from the big blind. Bohn folded quickly. Chen then thought for a few moments before putting in a check-raise to 3,200. His opponent looked at her hand again, then folded, and Chen took down the pot.

Simao's Sixes Prevail

Joao Simao raised to 500 in late position and his left-hand opponent Ihar Soika three-bet to 1,500. Action folded back to Simao and he threw in one yellow chip to match Soika's bid.

The dealer rolled out a flop of {2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Simao called another 1,125 before the {8-Diamonds} turn and {J-Diamonds} river were checked.

Simao was first to show his hand after a passive action and he opened {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Soika mucked.

Fox Gets Check-Raised

On a flop of {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Elio Fox was on the button facing off against one other player. The player in the small blind put out a bet of 1,000. Fox raised to 2,500 and the player called, creating a pot of 6,700 total.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and this time the small blind player slowed down with a check. Fox put out a bet of 3,800. The player thought briefly before check-raising and making it 10,000 to go. Fox quickly mucked. After the hand, Fox was left with under 10,000 chips.

Double for Yaroshevsky

Igor Yaroshevsky was in the big blind and down to 9,925, three-betting to 2,400 over a raise from the hijack and a flat-call from the small blind.

The hijack came out with a 6,500 four-bet and quickly called off the rest when Yaroshevskyy moved all in. Yaroshevsky was ahead with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} against {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and the {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} board confirmed his double.

Anderson Runs Into Aces Again

The board was {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Calvin Anderson was facing off against one opponent in the small blind from the big blind. The player led out with a bet of 2,000 before Anderson made it 5,000. His opponent called.

The river was the {6-Spades} and the player led out with a bet of 6,000. Anderson made a face, thought for a bit, then called. The player showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Anderson mucked.

This is the second time that Anderson has run into aces today, as he did early to lose a big portion of his stack. Despite that, Anderson has recovered and chipped up to right around 41,000 chips.

Badziakouski Gets Value with Top Pair

Mikita Badziakouski was sitting in the cutoff and facing off against his left-hand opponent.

They were on the {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} turn where Badziakouski led out 1,500 into about 5,000. He received a call and they continued to the {7-Spades} river which missed both flush draws.

Badziakouski fired 3,000 and a snap-called followed. Badziakouski turned up {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and claimed the pot as his opponent quickly mucked.

Le Gets Flushed

A player opened under the gun with a raise to 400. Next to act, Nam Le called. Action folded around to the big blind where Bill Klein called.

The flop was {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and all three players checked to see the {3-Spades} on the turn. There, Klein checked. The original raiser bet 600 and only Le called.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and the original raiser bet 2,000. Le thought for a bit, then raised, making it 4,650. The player tanked a bit, then called. Le showed {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for trip queens, but it was no good as his opponent held {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for a rivered flush.
