At 10 a.m. local time, cards will be in the air for Day 1, Flight A of Event #19: $565 Pot Limit Omaha at the 2018 World Series of Poker.
Every entrant will receive 5,000 starting chips and will have 18 thirty-minute levels to try to accumulate as many more as they can before bagging their stacks at the end of the day. Late registration will be open through the end of Level 8 at approximately 2:20 p.m. and there will be a 20-minute break every four levels. All of the above will also be true for Flight B, which kicks off at 5 p.m. this afternoon, players who survive from both flights will return tomorrow to play Day 2 at 2 p.m.
Last year in this event, Tyler Smith triumphed over 3,186 entrants, the largest field in the history of live PLO tournaments, to win his first gold bracelet and $244,344. This event is expected to draw well once again, as each of the previous two years has been record-setting for PLO tournaments.
With unlimited re-entry available and a 5,000-chip stack to begin, it's expected that many players will be firing multiple bullets in this event as they chase the gold bracelet.
