The field has been cut down from 566 to just 13 in Event #1: $565 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em and players are just a few spots away from what will be the second final table of this series. Currently leading the way is Jodie Sanders, a table games dealer from Southern California.

On Wednesday night, Sanders bagged up over half a million chips, giving him over 100,000 more than his nearest competitor, Jordan Hufty, who bagged up 399,000. Sanders has cashed in this event before, having already improved upon his 28th-place finish from years ago by making it to the final 13.

Many of the remaining players in the field are locking up their very first World Series of Poker cash. The exception is perhaps the most accomplished of those remaining, Bradley Helm, who has 13 World Series of Poker cashes already under his belt worth more than $150,000. Helm, who is a Poker Host, is looking for his second WSOP final table as well. He'll look to improve on that fourth-place finish with a win here in this event for his first bracelet. Helm bagged up 140,000 on Day 1 which put him right around the middle of the pack.

The plan is to play down to a winner on Thursday and with 13 left, it's still anyone's game. Levels have been increased today from 30 minutes to 60 minutes, so it's likely that play will slow down at least a little bit. Players are gunning for the first-place prize of $61,909 and a World Series of Poker gold bracelet which is a big jump up from the $2,484 that they are guaranteed to start the day.
