Lee Gets Paid by Jorgensen

Nível 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After a player opened for 2,300 from middle position and Bernard Lee called from the cutoff, Theo Jorgensen three-bet to 7,500 from the big blind. The original raiser folded, and Lee tanked for a bit before he called, which brought about a {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop.

Both players checked, the {2-Clubs} appeared on the turn, and Lee bet 11,100 after Jorgensen checked. A call was made and Jorgensen checked for a second time on the {9-Diamonds} river. Lee wasted little time in betting 18,600, and Jorgensen gave it some thought before he called. Lee rolled over the {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a straight, and it was good as Jorgensen mucked his cards.

Paul Pierce
Paul Pierce

Paul Pierce bet 4,000 on a flop of {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, an opponent check-raised to 11,500, and Pierce tank-called. The turn was the {a-Diamonds}, Pierce called a bet of 12,500, and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board.

The player checked, Pierce bet 15,000, and his opponent folded.

The very next hand, Pierce raised in middle position and one opponent called. Both players checked on the flop ({10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}) and the turn ({7-Hearts}), and the 10-time NBA All-Star took the pot with a bet of 5,000 on the river ({7-Clubs}).

Pierce is now flirting with six figures, sitting on about 97,000 chips.

Kaverman Tanks

Nível 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Byron Kaverman opened on the button for 3,400 and got called by a player in the big blind.

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and a check from the big blind saw Kaverman take his time and check. The turn card was the {6-Hearts} and the big blind led out for 4,000. With a stack of around 30,000, it was an important decision and Kaverman tanked before he called.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Kaverman faced a bet of 6,000. He went deep in the tank; he took an earphone out and mumbled something to his opponent, but got no response. A few more minutes elapsed and he reluctantly called. His opponent turned over {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Kaverman pushed his hand away and mucked.
