Phil Ivey

After Danny Johnson raised to 1,800, Phil Ivey reraised to 5,400.

"You just keep taking advantage of me, Phil," said Johnson. "How much is it? 5,400?"

After the dealer verified it was 5,400 for the reraise, Johnson asked Ivey, "Phil, can you name me an athlete that wears the number 54?"

Silence.

"OK, Phil. You got it. Just keep abusing me," Johnson finished.

Global Warming

Nível 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

A player opened to 2,800 from under-the-gun and John Hennigan called from the button. The blinds let their hands go, leaving the two heads up to the flop.

The dealer fanned {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Hennigan's opponent continued out for 4,300. Hennigan flatted, allowing the {Q-Spades} to hit the felt on fourth street. Hennigan's opponent slowed with a check and the $50,000 Poker Players' Championship rapped the table back.

The {3-Diamonds} paired the board on fifth street and both players checked once again. Hennigan's opponent showed {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for kings and treys with an ace. This was good enough to take it down and Hennigan's stack decreased to about 180,000.

Paul Pierce still has 100 big blinds after running into kings.

A player under the gun opened to 1,900, and Paul Pierce three-bet to 5,000 in middle position. The under-the-gun player made it 16,900 to go, and Pierce asked how much his opponent had behind.

"You can let this one go," the player said. "I'll show you."

Pierce decided to jam it in after brief consideration.

"He's all in?" the player said. "S***."

He called off his last 26,300, though, and he was in solid shape.

Pierce: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}, causing a player who was on the button to curse, saying he folded jacks to the two raises in front of him.
