Langrock Knocks One Out

We just caught the end of a big hand in which Sebastian Langrock knocked out a player. After the hand finished Langrock was kind enough to explain what happened.

Langrock's opponent raised and the German called in position. The flop brought out and the continuation bet was 800, which was raised to 2,400 by Langrock. The initial raiser called and on the turn the popped up.

The action was checked to Langrock who bet 4,400. The initial raiser check-raised all in for 13,000 and Langrock snap-called.

The river brought the and Langrock knocked a player out. On the very next hand Langrock raised to 525 and Don Nguyen called in position. The flop brought out and Langrock bet 675, Nguyen called and the turn was the , on which Langrock bet another 1,125. Nguyen called and the river was the .

This time Langrock checked and Nguyen bet 2,225. Langrock called immediately and Nguyen mucked right away. Langrock's was tabled and he took down another pot.

Tim Phan Is Back

Tim Phan has nearly $2 million in live tournament earnings, nine World Series of Poker cashes, and a 24th-place finish in the 2005 WSOP Main Event for $304,680, but since 2011 the man has been rarely seen at the Series.

Well, he's back now and is in action here in the 2014 WSOP Main Event. Seated at Nam Le's table, Phan has a little under the starting stack about halfway through the second level of the day.

Kihara Six-Bet Shoves

Following a raise to 575, the small blind three-bet to 1,600. With the action on Japan's only WSOP bracelet winner in Naoya Kihara, he four-bet to 4,200 from the big blind.

The original raiser folded, but the small blind tossed in two orange 5,000-denomination chips while announcing a raise to 9,500.

Kihara paused for a few moments then grabbed all his orange 5,000-denomination chips and announced all in for roughly 40,000. The small blind quickly mucked and Kihara moved his stack upwards of 50,000.

Aces and Kings for Gross

Jeff Gross was just moved to the Amazon room and he stepped away from the table to give us a little insight into his first level of play.

"On the very first hand I got black kings and ended up folding on the turn," Gross said. "The lady I played against turned out to have a set of tens."

"On my first hand at this new table I got two black aces," Gross continued, as he went on to say that his stack now hovers around the 36,000-chip stack.
