The screens show 7977 entries but that should be seen as unofficial number while the staff is still double checking everything to make sure we have the correct number. Will we crack the 8,000 mark? Before the end we shall know so stay tuned.
The name may not necessarily ring a bell to everyone, but Wendeen Eolis was in fact the first ever woman to cash in a Main Event of the World Series Of Poker. She is also in today's second flight of the Millionaire Maker and enjoys the company of George Danzer one seat over. Here is to hope for another deep run :)
Scott Baumstein is up to 17,100 thanks in part to a hand that took place in Orange section a short while ago.
The action passed around to Baumstein in the small blind and he raised to 500. The big blind called and it was off to the flop. Baumstein made a continuation bet of 325 only to see his opponent raise to 925. Baumstein called.
Both players checked the turn before Bumstein led for 1,375 on the river. The big blind folded and Baumstein added more chips to his ever-growing stack.
Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott saw the flop and got the remainder of his stack in only to see the opponent show . Ulliot had and could not improve anymore on turn and river.
Anthony Rodrigues defended his big blind against a raise from under the gun and found the flop. The Belgian check-called 525 and did so again on the turn. On the river, Rodrigues checked and then pondered about his final decision when the opponent moved all in.
The Belgian had 3,050 left and was covered (3,475 was the all in), eventually tossed in a chip and called. He was shown and was beat, flashing the only. The other card was the and that was it for Rodrigues.
