McLaughlin Moving On Up

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Robert McLaughlin opened for a raise and Jason Helder moved all in for 213,000 total. McLaughlin made the call and his {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} was well ahead of Helder and his {4-}{4-}. The board would run out dry and the queens would hold and Helder was eliminated while McLaughlin moved north of the 400,000 chip mark.

Wolpert Busts to Hawkins

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

The action folded to Leo Wolpert and he moved all in for just above 60,000 chips with {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}. One seat over, Maurice Hawkins called with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and hit a set on the {8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Spades} board. Below are some other updated chip counts.

Duong Wins Big Pot to Take Chip Lead

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Gennady Shimelfarb moved all in first to act for 146,000 - a bet of nearly 25 big blinds. Andrius Bielskis asked for a count and made the call. Jackduyph Duong was in the small blind and he too made the call.

Bielskis and Duong would check it down all the way on the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{K-Spades}{3-Hearts} run out and Duong's {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} would take the pot. Shimelfarb had {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} and would be eliminated while Bielskis mucked his hand. That pot moved Duong to 670,000 in chips, which was good enough to take the chip lead at this point.

But It Was Suited Part Two

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Wladislaw Eckhardt raised to 13,000 and Tony Cousineau moved all in for 100,000 from one seat over. Cousineau had lost a race to the very same player before for half his stack and was looking for revenge with the dominating {K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}.

Eckhardt only had {Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts} but got there via runner runner on the {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Spades} board. We shall not repeat the words that Cousineau used to describe the situation.
