Flack Frustrated Again

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Layne Flack was out of his seat and staring at the board which had reached the turn reading {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}. His opponent had moved all in for 70,000 over the size of the pot and Flack had 120,000 behind. It was the second time in recent hands that Flack had been faced with a turn shove and once more he let it go.

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The following players have been eliminated between 82nd and 90th place, earning $5,051:

Flack Folds Turn

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Layne Flack opened for 9,000 and got a call from the big blind and they went heads up to a flop of {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}. Flak bet 11,500 when it was checked to him and then faced a check-raise to 26,500.

Flack clarified the amount and then flicked out the call. His opponent had about 70,000 behind and when the turn card {k-Spades} appeared he paused before declaring all in. An irritated Flak folded and told him he was lucky the king came.

Boyd Down

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dutch Boyd called a shove and turned over {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}. His opponent let out a deep sigh, as he had put all of his chips at risk with {k-Spades}{q-Spades}.

The board came to the rescue, though. It fell {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and a quarter of Boyd’s stack slid across the table.

Wilhelm Takes Down Massive Pot

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Sascha Wilhelm had an opponent all in preflop, both players having above average stacks.

Wilhelm: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The dealer rapped the table and issued a board reading {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Wilhelm scooped up the massive pot, eliminating his opponent.

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Pecheux Rocking the Monster Stack

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Erwann Pecheux is having a great Day 2. The Frenchman began the day with 17,900 and is now the chip leader.

Pecheux is also enjoying a great 2014 WSOP so far. This will be his seventh cash of the series, totaling almost $50,000. He will be looking at giving that number a huge boost with his run in this event.

We arrived at the table with about 35,000 in the middle and a heads-up board of {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}. Cherish Andrews had checked and was awaiting the decision from a player in late position.

After a few moments another player at the table asked the floor for a clock and the late position player tapped the table, surrendering his action.

Andrews tabled {a-}{2-} and her opponent mucked.
