Welcome to Day 2 of Event #58: $1,500 Mixed-Max No-Limit Hold'em. On Day 1 the tournament saw 1,475 entries trimmed to just 181 after 10 levels of nine-handed play.
Shashank Jain was the overnight chip leader, stacked at 130,300. Brandon Cantu was close behind with an impressive 122,300. Other notables who finished Day 1 with chips were Jared Jaffee (109,300), Allen Cunningham (48,600), and James Woods (33,500).
The 181 returning players will play 10 levels of 6-handed poker on Day 2 and with the top 162 being paid for their efforts. Those who are fortunate to survive Day 2 will come back on Day 3 for four-handed play.
Cards and chips will start to fly at 1 p.m. PT and PokerNews' Live Reporting team will be on hand to bring you the six-handed action.

With just four players at his table, chip leader Shashank Jain has been active early, seemingly opening every pot. He also took an early pot from tablemate Josh Schoonover, who started the day third in chips.

Jeff Gross couldn't believe his luck early here on Day 2, as he is facing the only floor monitor in the room that isn't showing the United States World Cup game. That monitor is reserved for the tournament clock. "So sick," Gross said, in reference to his table draw.

Tom Middletion raised to 2,000 from the button and Jason Koon called from the big blind. As we were preparing for a monster hand between two of poker's greatest minds, the pair checked down the 
board.

Alex Goulder limped in for 1,000 and Mark Radoja completed his small blind. Daniele Nestola checked in the big blind.
The dealer spread the 
flop and it checked to Goulder who bet 1,300. Only Radoja called. The turn was the 
and Radoja checked to Goulder. Goulder bet 4,500 and Radoja called. Fifth street was the 
and Radoja again checked to Goulder. The young British pro moved all in for 12,000 effective and Radoja went into the tank, so deep that the clock was eventually called on him.
With 30 seconds left to play, Radoja folded and Goulder stacked up his new chips.

Griffin Benger has busted from Event #58. We didn't catch the hand, but instead saw the forlorn figure of Benger making his way to the rail. Helpfully, Benger relayed his exit hand via his Twitter account:

Carlos Villamarin has sent his friend John Moore to the rail just before the bubble.
"I'm sorry it was you, man," said Villamarin as Moore headed to the exits. He then explained how Moore is his best friend in poker and how they are sharing a house together here in Las Vegas for the WSOP. Let's hope they are still friends, otherwise Villamarin may need a sofa to stay on for the rest of the series!
