Green Out, Bach Triples

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Perry Green
Perry Green

Perry Green opened for 3,200, and David Bach called in the cutoff. In the small blind, Josh Pender potted for 14,400, and both opponents called, with Bach being all in for 10,700. Green and Pender then got all in for the rest of Green's stack, which was around 45,000, on the {7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop.

Green: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Bach: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Pender: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Green's flush draw missed as the board ran out {9-Diamonds} and then {2-Diamonds}, and Pender pumped his fist thinking he had scooped the pot with aces up. However, Bach had ran diamonds to make a flush, and he tripled up. Pender still snagged the much larger side pot, busting Green.

Meanwhile, Joe Lu appears to be the new chip leader with 213,000.

Cousineau Calls for the Chop

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Brett Shaffer bet 8,000 on a board of {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, and Tony Cousineau called. On the {4-Clubs} river, Shaffer pushed all in, putting Cousineau at risk for his last 33,500.

Cousineau went deep into the tank, muttering something about getting quartered. He counted out his stack, thought a bit more, and announced a call. He showed {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for the nut low, while Shaffer had {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for the nut flush with an ace-three low.

"Tony, if you get quartered there, you lose like, a few thousand," one of the players at the table said with a laugh.

"Was it that easy of a call?" Cousineau asked, happy to have gotten half.

Merksick Makes Volpe Sick

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Tony Merksick check-called 5,100 after a {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop in a blind battle against Paul Volpe. The players checked the {10-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river.

"I've got a straight," Merksick said, turning {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Volpe threw up his hands before mucking in disgust. The {q-Spades} flipped as he tossed in his cards.

Reiss Doubles Up Despite Scary Turn

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

We found JR Reiss all in with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} on a flop of {4-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}. His opponent turned one of the best cards in the deck: {8-Clubs} to give him a pair and a wrap for high, but the river was an {a-Hearts}, and Reiss scooped the pot with a set and a live three.

Tom Schneider busted out early.

Tom Schneider just sent all of his chips to Shiva Dudani when Dudani's {j-}{j-}{4-}{3-} held against "DonkeyBomber's" {a-}{q-}{10-}{7-} after a {7-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-} flop.

Miningham Binks Card He Needs

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Alex Miningham shoved all in for about 13,000 on a {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop, and Fabrice Soulier reraised pot with one player behind him, who thought for awhile before folding.

Soulier: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Miningham: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

"Alright, give me an eight," Miningham said, sounding surprisingly optimistic.

He was rewarded with an {8-Clubs} turn, giving him a straight to the nine. Soulier still had plentiful outs if he could make a boat or a higher straight, but the {3-Spades} river was a blank.

"That's just beautiful," Soulier said.

"Better to be lucky than good," Soulier's neighbor commented, to which Soulier voiced his agreement.

Despite the beat, the Frenchman has amassed an impressive stack so far today.

Idema Gets a Chop to Gain some Chips

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
A chop was a good result for Daniel Idema.
A chop was a good result for Daniel Idema.

"Josh, what are you going to put out there?" Amnon Filippi asked the dealer at Table 426. "What are you thinking, some suits, anything?"

FIlippi was facing two raises, as he'd come in for 1,200 and saw a player raise to 4,500 followed by Daniel Idema shoving for 10,600. George Danzer had cold-called in the blinds.

"You do your mistake yourself," Danzer said with a smile. "Don't blame the dealer."

Ultimately, Filippi folded, while the original raiser called.

Josh's flop was {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and the turn and river were {7-Spades} and {8-Spades} as Danzer and his opponent checked it down.

Idema showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for jacks up, which was good for high. Danzer had {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the third player had {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}, so they chopped the low.
