Ippolito Doubles

Nível 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Peter Ippolito doubled up on the last hand before break with {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} on a board of {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. We didn't see his opponent's hand before the dealer swept it up.

Hausen Gets a Double

Nível 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

On a flop of {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, Toby Hausen got it all in against a single opponent.

Hausen: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Hausen was against top two, but he had a huge straight wrap with the nut low draw. The {7-Diamonds} turn gave him the nut low with a straight, and the {j-Diamonds} river was clean for him.

Volpe Takes a Big Hit

Nível 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Paul Volpe checked out of the blinds after a {3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop, and Bradley Ruben bet 12,000 from the cutoff. Volpe potted it, and Ruben thought for a couple of minutes before pushing all in. Volpe called.

Volpe: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Ruben: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Ruben still had some outs as he could make a higher straight or better set, but the {2-Clubs} turn was of no use. An {a-Hearts} river was just what the doctor ordered though, and Volpe had to ship a painful 80,000 across the felt.

Bloch Sends Danzer Packing

Nível 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
George Danzer busted in the money.
George Danzer busted in the money.

George Danzer has already claimed two bracelets at this year's World Series of Poker, but he'll have to wait for his third.

A player was all in for 12,000, and Danzer called from the cutoff. Andy Bloch potted from the button to 46,500, and Danzer had to think about it after the blinds folded.

"Fixty-six thousand," he said after counting his stack. "What can I do with 56,000?"

"Not much," he said after another minute. "I'm all in."

Bloch: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Danzer: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Middle position: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, so the short stack tripled up, while Bloch's two pair was good for a KO on Danzer, who didn't improve.

Hanson, Lawson Survive

Nível 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

A player limped in early position, and Bart Hanson put his last 5,000 in on the button. Ted Lawson jammed from the blinds for about 25,000, and the limper called.

Early position: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Hanson: {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Lawson: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

"I'm going to try my best to make a low," the early player said, seeing he had the best starting low hand of the three.

A {2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Spades} flop meant a low was unlikely though, and Lawson had a near-lock for high with a boat. The {q-Clubs} turn made it official for him, and the {4-Hearts} river kept Lawson's tens in front for the side pot.
