Hello and welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for the 45th-annual World Series of Poker!
At 6 p.m. - yes, the tournament is delayed due to the massive Monster Stack - Event #54: $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Low will kick off in the Orange Section of the Amazon Room. Unlike traditional late starts, Day 1 will feature only eight levels of play due to the late start.
The returning champion is Vladimir Schemelev, who defeated 434 opponents in 2013 to pocket $279,094. The Russian may or may not be back to defend his title, but a host of other players will be in contention, including big names like Daniel Negreanu who exited earlier today on Day 3 of Event #49.
The cards will be in the air at 6 p.m. sharp, so be sure to check back to PokerNews for all of your live updates straight from the tournament floor!
