John Monnette

Action folded to Jeff Yeh in middle position and he shoved for about 415,000. John Monnette called all in on the button for 305,000 and the blinds folded.

Yeh: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Monnette: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} as Yeh paired his jack on the turn to eliminate Monnette in 89th place.

Staes Doubles Through Monnette

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

John Monnette raised to 80,000 from early position and Aliosha Staes moved all in from the big blind. After a count and some thought, Monnette made the call.

Staes: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Monnette: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} to give Staes the double and leave Monnette rather short.

Adeniya Falls to a Queen on the River

Nível 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

We spoke to Martins Adeniya a short while ago and he said that today had been a difficult day in that he was always short staked and having to grind his way through the field. Adeniya is grinding no more because when he moved all in for his last 10 big blinds with {A-}{5-} from the cutoff, Thayer Rasmussen called with {Q-}{J-} and proceeded to catch a queen on the river and Adeniya headed into the warm Las Vegas night.

Wheeler Busts After a Cruel River

Nível 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Jason Wheeler stopped by the media desk on his way to collecting his payout receipt and let us know about his exit hand.

Wheeler opened to 60,000 with the {10-Spades}{9-Spades} and then called when Clement Giraudo-Pourchot three-bet to 125,000. Giraudo-Pourchot then continued with a 150,000 bet on the {Q-}{Q-}{J-} flop, Wheeler moved all-in for 750,000 in total and Giraudo-Pourchot called with what turned out to be {A-}{A-}.

The {8-} improved Wheeler to a straight, but the {Q-} gifted Giraudo-Pourchot a full house and that was more than enough to send Wheeler to the showers.

Levy Takes Big Pot Against Peckham

Nível 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Picking up the action after the river of a {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} board with roughly 800,000 in the pot. Mark Peckham bet 350,000. Steven Levy tanked for about 90 seconds before he called.

Peckham tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, but it was second best to Levy's {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair of eights.
