Griffin Benger has built a massive stack and must have been looking for more when he made it 3,400 to open a recent pot.
The player directly to his left stomped all over that raise, however, making it 9,100. It appeared one of the blinds made a bit of a mistake, matching the original 3,400. But when he found out it was actually 9,100 to go, he let it go, losing those chips in the process.
Benger mumbled something about not being able to figure out the math and folded himself. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

It could have been the intense look in his eye, or his intimidating and ever-growing stack, or it could have been the fact no one else hit the flop even remotely.
We'll never know why two players called a 3,200-chip bet from Olivier Busquet before the flop, then folded when he made it 4,500 after the ,
and
was revealed.
But we'll always wonder about it. And now so can you.

Martin Staszko was on the button and heads up in a pot against the big blind.
The flop was and both players checked. The turn card was the
and Stasko called a bet of 4,700. The river card was the
and now the big blind, who had significantly more chips than Staszko bet out 13,500.
A pained look crossed his face as Staszko studied his opponent and shifted around in his seat. It was a significant pot compared to his stack. After a good three minutes thought though he passed his cards away, visibly annoyed about how the hand had gone.

Ludovic Lacay from France had a camera crew following his progress in the tournament today, but it’s time to call cut without a happy ending. When we returned to his table to check on his progress there was another gentleman in his seat who was rather less telegenic and didn’t seem to be attracting as much interest, but did at least have chips.
