Brett Shaffer is on the hunt for back-to-back titles in $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em events this series. Shaffer was the bracelet winner of Event #31, just earlier this week. It also happened to be the second World Series of Poker $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em bracelet he had won in as many years.
Here are some more counts from Shaffer's opponents in the Brasilia room's silver section.

There was a raise to 450 and Ellie Biessek checked the stack of her opponent before three-betting to 1,100 from one seat over. The rest of the table folded.
One hand later, James Woods raised and the player on the button three-bet. To the flop, we had about 2,700 chips in the pot and both players checked. On the turn, Woods checked and the player on the button enforced a fold from Woods with betting 2,600 chips. Woods mucked the and said "the last time you did that, you had a full house," likely referring to the betting size of the opponent.

We arrived on the flop with 2,300 in the middle and Goran Mandic bet 1,450 out of the small blind. The initial raiser in early position made the call and then both checked the turn and the river. Mandic showed and that won the pot.

We spotted Chris Hunichen on the way out of the Brasilia room and caught up with him quickly on what happened. Two hands before his elimination he already squeezed into a raise and a call before doing so again. An opponent raised to 400 and Hunichen moved all in for 4,275.
The opponent tanked for three minutes and the dealer was about to push the pot to Hunichen before the players on the table alerted the dealer that the opponent still had cards. Eventually, a minute later the call came from and Hunichen revealed . He could not improve and hit the rail.
"It wasn't even a slowroll, it was a nitroll," Hunichen said.

James Dempsey was facing a four-bet preflop when he reached into the dealer tray and pulled out the all-in chip, slapping it down in front of his stack. "He's all in," the dealer announced. His opponent called and showed to Dempsey's . The race was on and Dempsey needed to connect with the board somehow, but it was not to be, as the dealer spread out and Dempsey was crippled. After he matched his opponent's stack and slid over the chips, he was left with just 600 for himself.
He has since doubled up and has a few more chips to play with, but is still sitting quite short.
