Truong Trounced

Nível 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

"No diamond, no diamond, Frank," we heard a lady yelling over in the White Section of the Pavilion Room. We made our way over to see what all the commotion was about and discovered a flop of {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. The chips had gotten in the middle between the boisterous lady and Australia's Tam Truong, with the latter being the one at risk.

Truong: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Truong was drawing to two overs and a flush, but based on her repeated calls it seemed his opponent was more concerned with the diamond draw. The {3-Clubs} turn saw the volume of her request increase in decibels, and then she clapped her hands together when the dealer, who was named Frank, put out the harmless {q-Clubs} on the river to send Truong out the door.

"In Case You Have Ace-Four or Something"

Nível 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Action folded to Jason Koon in the cutoff and he opened for 225, which the big blind called. Both players then checked the {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop as well as the {9-Clubs} turn. When the {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river, the big blind led out for a mere 225 and Koon thought for a long time.

"In case you have ace-four or something," Koon explained before dropping in a call. The big blind then rolled over the {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a pair of sevens. Koon mucked.

Ausmus Lets Full Blown Tilt Overcome Him

Nível 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

WSOP bracelet winner and former Octo-Niner Jeremy Ausmus was seat at Table 7, which also played host to the slim and trim Greg "FBT" Mueller. For those who may not know, the "FBT" stands for "Full Blown Tilt."

Anyway, the two tangled and only one survived. We missed the hand, but the winner of it was kind enough to fill us in.

According to him, a short-stacked Ausmus opened for 200 and Mueller defended from the big blind with {q-}{9-}. After the flop fell {j-}{9-}{8-}, Mueller checked and Ausmus bet 300. Mueller proceeded to check-raise all in and Ausmus, who had less than 1,000, called off with {j-}{10-}.

Ausmus was in a great spot to double, and stayed in the lead on the {8-} turn. Unfortunately for him, the river was a {9-} and Mueller took it down with a full house.

Cheong Sends One to the Rail

Nível 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

We saw Joseph Cheong sitting with a decent stack, and as we were counting it he got involved in a preflop raising war with an unknown player. Eventually the chips got in the middle and Cheong, who had the bigger stack, tabled the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. His opponent held {10-}{10-}, and the board ran out a clean {2-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-}{q-} to give Cheong the knock out.
