Gobboboy Is Among the Leaders

Nível 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke is a guy who loves poker. Equally adept at non-hold'em games as he is at "The Cadillac of Poker," Fricke has won almost $1.6 million from live poker tournaments.

Although there is a long way to go until the prize money is divvied up in this event — another 200 players need to bust — Fricke should progress through the bubble and into the money with relative ease as he has 26,000 chips in front of him.

Gone, But Not Forgotten

These heroes have failed in their quest to win this tournament's bracelet and will no doubt try again tomorrow (and on several days after).

#TeamMedia Reels As Jacobson Busts

Nível 8 : 200/400, 50 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

If you followed the $25K Fantasy Draft at the start of the 2014 World Series of Poker, you will recall that TeamMedia entered a team. One of its choices was Martin Jacobson, an extremely talented Swede who has some remarkable results to his name.

Sadly, Jacobson won't be adding Event #4 champion to his list of poker accomplishments as he has busted from the tournament short of the money places and won't be winning TeamMedia any points in this tournament.

Mueller Marches On

Nível 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Former hockey star Greg "FTB" Mueller continues to march up the chip counts and is now sat with 25,000 chips after sending a player to the rail a few moments ago.

The seemingly unstoppable Mark Radoja opened the betting with a raise to 725 from middle position and found two callers, one in the hijack seat and the other in the cutoff. Mueller, in the midst of a shoulder massage, raised to 2,500. Both blinds folded, as did Radoja, albeit after 20 seconds or so of deliberation.

Radoja's cards hadn't even hit the muck when the gentleman in the hijack seat pushed all in for 7,300 in total. After the cutoff folded, Mueller went into the tank.

Mueller sat trying to figure out his opponents holding for close to a minute before flicking in the extra calling chips.

Mueller: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Soon to be eliminated gentleman: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The {9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop kept the sixes ahead, but also gave Mueller an inside straight draw. The {8-Hearts} also gae Mueller the chance to counterfeit his opponent, but that wasn't needed as the river came down the {10-Clubs} to gift Mueller a straight.

As Mueller stacked his new chips, the now busted gentleman stood from his seat. We tried to discover his name, but he was in no mood to give it to us.

Radoja Continues to Rack 'Em Up

Mark Radoja

Canada's Mark Radoja already has two WSOP bracelets in his collection and if he continues to play how is is right now, number three could be his in a couple of day's time.

Radoja is absolutely bossing his table right now and has 47,000 chips to terrorise his opponents with, which by our reckoning is around 15,000 more than any other player in the field. Wow!

Prize Pool Information

Nível 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Event #4 of the 2014 World Series of Poker attracted 2,224 players who created a $2,001,600 prize pool. This huge sum of money will find its way into the pockets of the top 243 players, with a min-cash being worth $1,801, a final table appearance $26,501 and the eventual champion taking home $360,435 and a coveted WSOP bracelet.

Rise of the Big Stacks

Nível 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

During our last wonder around the vast, surprisingly warm Brasilia Room, we spotted two big stacks that weren't anywhere near as large before the dinner break.

One belongs to Bulgarian Nikolay Yosifov who now has a mountain of chips totalling 29,000. Yosifov has one major cash to his name, a win in a $165 buy-in tournament here in Las Vegas in January.

The other belongs to the establish pro that is David Peters. With over $3.8 million in online winnings and over $4.1 million in from the live arena, David Peters is one of the most respected and feared players on the circuit. Now that he has 28,000 chips at his disposal he is going to be a nightmare to play against.

Colorful Ceramic Discs

Nível 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Here is a selection of chip counts for you fine folks at home.

You will notice the name of Andrew "LuckyChewy" Litchenbeger who was one of the last people to enter the event. It's not been a success story so far for the popular high-stakes pro, but if anyone can turn this around it is he.
