Two-time bracelet winner Dan Idema pushed his short stack all in from under the gun. He managed to get folds all the way around the table and picked up the blinds and antes, but he's still sitting very short in this tournament and will need to double up soon.
Guillaume Fourcade has the most powerful of protection for his cards and chips. In front of him are three figurines: R2-D2, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader.
The player in the hijack seat raised to 1,200 preflop and Fourcade three-bet to 3,100 and we went to the flop heads up. The dealer turned over and the initial raiser led out for 4,300. Fourcade raised to 9,100, putting on the pressure again. This time it was too much, and his opponent folded, awarding him the pot. The force is strong in this one.
Niall Farrell raised to 1,700 from under the gun and Perry Friedman on the button was the only player to call him. The flop was and Farrell led out for 2,000. Friedman raised it up to 7,000 and Farrell pushed all in. Friedman snap-called and the two were set for a sweat.

Friedman:
Farrell's top two pairs were the best but at risk against Friedman's top pair with a flush draw. The on the turn was harmless, but the on the river completed the flush and Farrell was sent home for the night.
Vanessa Selbst made a big push preflop when Erhart Edquist raised to 2,500 from middle position, the player in the hijack called, and she pushed all in from the small blind. The hijack player got out of the way and Selbst and Edquist were off to the races.
Edquist:

Selbst wasn't able to find any help on the board of and she left her seat after a "good luck" directed at the table.
We arrived at the table to see Mike Smith and Dan Kelly's cards face up and an all-in chip in front of Kelly. It appeared both players had very similar stacks and they were going to battle heads-up for the lot of them.
Smith:
Kelly:
Kelly was going to need an ace or running cards to stay alive. The dealer burned a card and then delivered the board: and Kelly was eliminated.
