Dan Shak's stack is headed south after he was forced out of two pots following the break.
First, he made it 20,000 on the button following a Keven Stammen 8,500 open, but folded on the flop when Stammen led out for 27,000.
Then, he flatted a Michel Abecassis 8,000 opening raise and called bets of 8,500 on the flop and 13,500 on the turn. In the end, Shak turtled on the river after Abecassis made it 24,500.

Christian Harder fired a bet of about 20,000 on the turn with the board reading , and Benjamin Pollak made the call. On the river, Harder put his opponent all in for 42,500, and Pollak went deep into the tank. He considered for roughly five minutes before releasing his hand.
JC Tran just tangled with Antonio Esfandiari again, only this time they didn't have the same hand.
The hand began with a 10,000 bet from Tony Ruberto. Esfandiari flatted before Tran potted it for 42,000, leaving himself very little behind. Ruberto let it go, but Esfandiari bet enough to put Tran all in for his last 67,000.
It was a classic race with Tran on and Esfandiari holding but Tran held on through the board to double through Esfandiari.
"Thought maybe we had the same hand again," said Esfandiari, pushing a good portion of his stack across the table.
Blake Barousse raised to 8,000 on the button, and Chino Rheem potted to 28,000 in the small blind. Barousse shipped it for 61,500 total, and Rheem made the call, though he wasn't too keen.

The dealer spread a flop of , turning Rheem from dog to favorite, though he still had a flush draw to fade. The turn gave Barousse even more outs with a gutshot, but the river was a brick.
We caught the end of a hand between Timothy Adams and Dan Shak that left one with a big stack and the other now on fumes.
Facing a 37,000 Adams bet on a board following the turn with a hefty amount already in the pot, Shak made it 72,000. Adams flatted and they both checked down the river.
Adams turned over for two pair and took it down with Shak telling him he could have had it all if he had shoved the river.
Justin Bonomo opened for 14,000, and saw Benjamin Pollak ship for 36,500 in the cutoff. Byron Kaverman made the call from the blinds, and Bonomo put the last of his chips in as well.

The board came all rags: , and Pollak's jacks stood for the triple up, while Bonomo busted out.
Day 1 chip leader Tony Ruberto is still grinding away here on Day 2.
In a recent pot, Keith Tilston check-called 21,000 on a flop, and the hit the turn. Tilston checked, and Ruberto put him all in for 66,000. Tilston leaned back in his seat, looking pained. He let his hand go, and Antonio Esfandiari asked if they could see Ruberto's hand.
"You can pick one," Ruberto said.
Esfandiari snatched up a card just before the dealer slid the hand into the muck, and he turned over the .
"The other one was better," Ruberto assured the table.
John Hennigan bet 15,000 from the big blind after a flop, and Ismael Bojang shipped for 43,000. After some deliberation, Hennigan slid a calling stack in.
