Vanessa Selbst defended her big blind against a raise from early position and bet 1,500 on the flop. The initial raiser called and then folded the turn when Selbst squeezed in the 3,000. The three-time golden bracelet winner flashed and raked in the chips. Not really a huge hand, but it gave us the opportunity to update her chip count.
Matt Glantz is a frequent user of the MyStack app, but we barely get to see how he actually scoops the pots. As we walked by, he had the showing and completed, then raised from 1,500 to 3,000 on fourth with the and bet another 3,000 on the fifth when he picked up the .
His opponent, who currently enjoys a massage, mucked on fifth with showing and revealed as down cards.
We picked up the action in a four-way pot on sixth street. Jeet Shetty had checked his jacks, and John D'Agostino took the opportunity to bet his sixes. Mike Leah called, the fourth player in the hand was already all in, and Shetty came along. All three active players then checked seventh street.
"Flush," Leah said and tabled his spades. D'Agostino then showed an 8-6-4-3-A low. Shetty mucked his cards, and the all-in player showed trip nines. Leah and D'Agostino chopped the pot and sent a player to the rail.
Meanwhile, John Racener and Todd Dakake have also been eliminated from the tournament.
Corey Hastings raised from middle position, got two callers in the small blind and Thomas Butzhammer one seat over. They checked the flop and Butzhammer then bet 3,000 on the turn. Both opponents called and Butzhammer led 3,000 on the river, Hastings raised to 6,000 and the small blind folded. Butzhammer called quickly.

Hastings turned the wheel and nut low, but the German completed a back door full house to chop the pot and take the high part.

Vanessa Selbst started the day with 22,300. Now she has nearly three times that. Obviously Day 2 has been treating her well her in the early-goings.
In a recent hand, we happened upon the action with Selbst and Daniel Makowsky both with three bets out in front of them. They had bet it somewhere along the line, but when we picked up the action the board read and Selbst had checked. Makowsky did the same and Selbst tabled the for a small flush. It was good, as Makowsky sent his cards to the muck.
In the previous hand, Allen Kessler walked by and asked "Hey Chau, didn't you say no more tournaments?" Chau Giang replied "This will be my last one," before calling a raise in the big blind and then folding the flop. He had next to no chips left and moved all in for 2,100 one hand later when Greg Mascio raised from middle position.
The small blind called as well and Giang tossed in his last few chips. On the flop, Giang said "I hope I have spades" and Mascio bet. The small blind check-folded and Mascio asked "You don't know what you have?" "1-2-3-7 black," Giang replied. Both turned over their cards.
Mascio:
Giang:
The on the turn saw him drawing dead and he left the table after the dealer spread the river. Mascio is back where he started the day.
We still have quite a few women left in the field and they were both at it just now in Vanessa Selbst and Allyn Jaffrey Shulman. They squared off with and showing and Shulman made a flush whereas Selbst had a 7-5 low.
Dutch Boyd readily admits he's better at stud hi-low than O8, and he thinks that plays to his advantage as the former is weighted more heavily in a tournament like this. Boyd explains.
