Steinberg Chipping Up

Nível 13 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Max Steinberg is taking control of his table. After doubling through Victor Ramdin, he ended up scooping a large pot against Ramdin and Cherish Andrews. On a flop of {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, action checked to Andrews, who led out for 3,000. Steinberg raised to 10,500, and both Ramdin and Andrews called. When the {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn, Ramdin and Andrews checked and Steinberg continued for 30,500. Ramdin folded, but Andrews called to see the {9-Hearts} on the river. She checked, and Steinberg pushed all-in for over 70,000. Andrews went into the tank, thinking for a couple minutes before folding. He now sits with 175,000.

Here are the chip counts from his table:

More for O'Brien

Nível 13 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a board of {4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts} Dan O'Brien bet 8,800 into a pot that had had around 10,000 in it. Kyle Julius in big blind made the fold, but Brock Parker who began the hand under the gun called.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and this time O'Brien grabbed a stacked of yellows and pushed them out, betting 25,400. Parker took a few seconds then folded.

O'Brien is looking to challenge Cliff Josephy at his table for the chip lead after that pot.

Josephy Rollin'

Nível 13 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a flop of {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} Brock Parker made a bet of 3,600. He was only called by Cliff Josephy on the button.

The turn came the {4-Spades} and both players checked.

On the {4-Diamonds} river Parker checked once more, but Josephy wasn't checking. He decided to throw out a bet of 14,000. After thinking about it for just a bit, Parker said, "Call," but mucked when Josephy showed {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Ramdin and Minieri Butting Heads

Nível 13 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Dario Minieri
Dario Minieri

Victor Ramdin is seated on Dario Minieri's left, and Ramdin is taking advantage of his position by picking on the younger pro. On one hand, Minieri raised to 2,000 under-the-gun. Ramdin immediately 3-bet to 5,000. Everyone else folded and Minieri called. They both check when the flop fell {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and they checked again on the {7-Diamonds} and the {j-Diamonds} river. Minieri announced "ace-high," but Ramdin turned over "{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for bottom pair.

On the very next hand, Minieri was in the big blind, and Ramdin raised to 2,000 under-the-gun. Minieri called, then checked the flop pf {q-}{2-}{7-}. Ramdin bet out, and Minieri folded immediately. It will be interesting to watch these pros as they continue to battle.

Friedman Busts Sunil Aggarwal

Nível 13 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a board of {Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} bracelet winner Adam Friedman had moved all in putting Sunil Aggarwal to a decision for his tournament life. After being in the tank for nearly two minutes, Aggarwal made the call and he wasn't pleased with what he saw.

Friedman had turned trips with {A-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and he was crushing Aggarwal's {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. The river was a blank {4-} and Friedman scooped the pot.
