. Josh Arieh and Septimiu Popescu checked, and the player in the cutoff bet 5,600. Both players called. Everyone checked the 
turn, and Arieh led out 14,000 on the 
river. Popescu went into the tank for a couple of minutes, rubbing his temples and placing his forehead in his hands as he thought. Finally, he called off most of his stack. The cutoff folded.

Popescu's kicker won him the pot.
"What on earth were you thinking about?" Arieh asked. "Were you thinking about folding?"
Popescu confirmed he was, and Arieh just nodded thoughtfully.
