Ace Saves Owen From Elimination

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Anton Morgenstern put in his standard min-raise to 200,000 from middle position, and Dan Owen pushed his last 385,000 into the middle from the button. Action folded back to Morgenstern, and he insta-called.

Owen: {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Morgenstern: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Owen was five cards away from being sent home, but the {A-Spades} in the door pushed him into the lead. The rest of the board ran out {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and Owen put a tiny dent in the chip leader's massive stack.

Steve Gee Doubles Through Chris Lindh

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Steve Gee
Steve Gee

Chris Lindh raised to 200,000 from early position, and Steve Gee called from the cutoff. Jay Farber called from the big blind as well, and the players saw the flop three-handed. The dealer spread {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and Farber checked. Lindh continued for 325,000, and only Gee called. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and Lindh pushed all in. He had Gee covered, so his effective bet was about 2,400,000. Gee tanked for a couple minutes, then pushed out a stack of chips to signify a call. He turned over {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and Lindh showed {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Both players had top pair, but Gee had Lindh outkicked. The river was the {9-Clubs}. Gee won the pot and doubled up on the hand.

Livingston Bets, Collects

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Alexander Livingston raised to 210,000 from early position, and Danard Petit called from the cutoff seat. Sylvain Loosli on the button checked his cards and called as well, and Marc McLaughlin came along, too, from the big blind.

The four players watched as the flop came {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{4-Spades}. McLaughlin checked, then Livingston bet 455,000. Petit called the bet, and both Loosli and McLaughlin folded.

The turn was the {10-Spades}. This time Livingston led with a bet of 875,000, and Petit tossed away his hand.

Ortiz Bet Chases Alexander

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Fabian Ortiz
Fabian Ortiz

James Alexander raised to 375,000 from early position and picked up three callers in Fabian Ortiz (button), Marc McLaughlin (small blind), and Jason Mann (big blind). The flop came {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Both blinds checked, Alexander bet 375,000, Ortiz and McLaughlin called, and Mann folded.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}. McLaughlin and Alexander both checked to Ortiz who fired a bet of 1 million. McLaughlin folded his hand, then Alexander thought a bit before folding as well, showing {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} (top pair) as he did.

Ortiz then turned over his hand as the chips were swept his way — {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} — showing that Alexander had in fact folded better.

Lindh Takes Two from Newhouse

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Chris Lindh raised to 210,000 from the hijack, and Ryan Riess called from the button. Then Mark Newhouse three-bet to 525,000 from the big blind. Only Lindh called. The flop came {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, and Newhouse continued for 500,000. Lindh called, and the {9-Hearts} fell on the turn. Both players checked, and the river was the {5-Diamonds}. Newhouse checked, and Lindh bet 525,000, and Newhouse folded immediately.

The two players tangled again on the next hand. Lindh raised to 210,000 from middle position, and Newhouse called from the small blind. The flop came {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, and Newhouse checked. Lindh bet 315,000, and Newhouse called. The {q-Clubs} came on the turn, and Newhouse again checked. This time, Lindh bet 485,000, and Newhouse released his hand.

Dan Owen Eliminated in 32nd Place ($229,281)

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Dan Owen - 32nd Place
Dan Owen - 32nd Place

Dan Owen, who finished third in a WSOP event earlier this month, won't be making another final table at this WSOP. Shortly after doubling through Anton Morgenstern, Owen moved all in again just just over a million with {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} from under the gun. Clement Tripodi called from the cutoff with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, leaving Owen in bad shape.

The {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop gave Owen some outs to a straight, but the {4-Hearts} turn and {6-Spades} river sent him to the rail in 32nd place.

Timoshenko Halts a Drought

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Maxx Coleman opened for 200,000 under the gun, and Yevgeniy Timoshenko in middle position was the only caller. The flop came {2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, and Coleman checked. Timoshenko bet 260,000, and Coleman mucked his hand quickly.

Timoshenko dragged his first pot in awhile, breaking a slide in the counts.

Brave Mann

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Jason Mann
Jason Mann

Jason Mann raised to 200,000 from early position, then James Alexander three-bet to 625,000 from late position and when it folded back around Mann called.

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Mann checked. Alexander bet 750,000, then Mann check-raised to 1.75 million. Alexander tanked for a full minute as he pondered Mann's bet, then finally folded.

At that Mann showed his hand — {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}! — earning a reaction from the table. Mann scooped the pot, and as the next hand was dealt addressed Alexander.

"You've been owning me all day... you'll probably own me at the end of the tournament," grinned Mann. "It's okay... I got my moment of glory."
