Eric Wasserson earlier in the series.

After a raise to 725 from middle position, Eric Wasserson popped it up to 2,000 from the small blind. Action folded back around to the player who made the original raise. He moved all in. Wasserson snap called.

Raiser: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Wasserson: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Spades} giving Wasserson a boat and the knockout.

"How do you just wake up with the weppies in that spot?" a player a the table asked Wasserson. "Especially with your image?"

"Can you teach me how to do that?" another player asked.

"Can't be taught," Wasserson said, laughing and shaking his head.

Yang Chipping Up

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Facing a raise to 750 and a call from the small blind, 2007 WSOP Champion Jerry Yang defended his big blind.

The {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop was checked round before Yang led out for 1,050 with only the preflop raiser in the cutoff making the call as the {2-Hearts} landed on the river.

Yang carefully counted out a bet of 2,750 and dropped it into the pot as the cutoff quickly folded to award the pot to Yang and see him climb to just over 22,000.

Will Kenny Quit?

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Kenny Nguyen
Kenny Nguyen

Earlier in the day Kenny Nguyen explained to his table that he would be quitting poker if he didn't cash in this year's Main Event. "I call," one of the players at his table said in response.

But it doesn't look as if Nguyen will have to quit if he keeps doing what he's doing here today.

We caught Nguyen on the turn of board reading {6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The player who was in the big blind had made a bet of about 4,000 and Nguyen called, creating a pot of just about 17,000.

The two took to the river which fell the {4-Diamonds}. On the river, the player in the big blind thought for about a minute before finally checking. With action on Nguyen, he threw in three orange T5,000 chips, which was enough to put his opponent all in. After about 3 minutes in the tank, the player folded allowing Nguyen to take the pot. As he was mucking though, the player showed the {A-Diamonds}.

"I have to show you a pair now," Nguyen said showing the {8-Clubs} for a pair of eights.

"I had aces," the player said.

"If you had aces, you made a bad fold," Nguyen said laughing.

Negreanu Calls Opponent's Hand and Loses

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Following a raise to 600, Daniel Negreanu came along from the button along with the two blinds as a dealer spread a {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop.

The small blind led for 700 and Negreanu was the only caller as the {3-Spades} landed on the turn and Negreanu was faced with a bet of 1,700. Negreanu took a few moments to contemplate a decision before tossing in two yellow 1,000-denomination chips into the pot to signify a call.

The {3-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and the small blind lent back in his chair and paused for a few moments before reaching down to the bottom of his chip stack to retrieve an orange 5,000-denomination chip before casually tossing it into the pot.

"What you doing bro?" quizzed Negreanu as his masseuse continued to work on his shoulders.

"Mmmmm. Ten-jack of clubs?" Negreanu added.

As Negreanu muttered a few words to himself, he eventually made the call before the small blind tabled his {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a full house.

Negreanu shook his head from left-to-right and then mucked.

"What am I doing?" Negreanu asked to himself as he slipped to 6,650 in chips.
