Golub Gets Lucky; Feenstra Busts Soon After

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Rens Feenstra had 45,000 chips in front of him and it looked like Mark Golub raised to 100,000. Feenstra reraised all in and Golub called.

Golub: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Feenstra: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Feenstra was in good shape on the {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop and through the {10-Spades} turn but it was the {j-Hearts} river that would put a dent in Feenstra's stack and give Golub an above average stack.

Feenstra would not be able to recover from the loss and ended up busting a few hands later.

Comel Sets One Up

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Sebastien Comel checked to an opponent in the cutoff after a flop of {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The player bet 25,000, and Comel raised to 55,000. Comel saw his opponent three-bet to 135,000, and Comel shipped all in after thinking briefly. His opponent called.

Comel: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Comel was well in front with his set, and the board finished out with a {4-Spades} and a {10-Hearts}.

"The Donkey" Busts Sylvia

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jesse Sylvia ran into a set.
Jesse Sylvia ran into a set.

Eric "The Donkey" Kurtzman opened for 16,000 from middle position, and Jesse Sylvia made it 34,000 from the button. Kurtzman made the call.

Kurtzman led out for 35,000 on the {3-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, and Sylvia jammed on him. Kurtzman called immediately.

Sylvia: {a-}{10-}
Kurtzman: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

Sylvia was in awful shape, and the {k-Diamonds} turn ended the former Main Event runner-up's journey through this event.

Bertenshaw Doubles

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Alan Bertenshaw and his opponent had their chips in the middle preflop, although it was Bertenshaw who was at risk. Bertenshaw held {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and was up against the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} of his opponent.

Bertenshaw found what he needed when the board ran out {10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades} and gave him a much needed infusion of chips.
