We're not exactly sure what we missed, but we're pretty sure Samuel Chartier just had a player pre flop all in with which was the best hand. His opponent, who appeared to be all in for 3,150, had . The board wouldn't help either and Chartier added some chips to his stack: | | .
We hadn't seen them before, but we just came across three recognizable players. Norwegian Pro Johnny Lodden is playing his first 2013 World Series of Poker event today and is off to a good start. This is also the first time we ran into David Boyaciyan, EPT Prague 2011 runner up, EPT Prague 2012 third place finisher and Master Classics of Poker 2011 winner. Last, but not least, Matt Matros is playing. This sure isn't his first event this summer, but it is his last before the Main Event kicks off on Saturday.
The crew is back to talk about the exciting conclusions of the $111,111 One Drop High Roller and the $25,000 Six Max. They also examine a few crazy hands in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, discuss online poker in New Jersey, and review bracelet wins from Barney Boatman, Marco Johnson, and Jesse Martin.
Barny Boatman received his bracelet in the last break, but we didn't seem wearing it. For now, he won't receive one for his other wrist neither as he has just been eliminated.
The player under the gun raised it up to 450, and from the big blind Barny Boatman called all in for 275 total. Boatman had called blind with but was up against to make things worse. The | | board didn't help Boatman and he left the table.
If you've watched the 2004 World Series of Poker episodes on ESPN than you'll sure remember Mattias Andersson. He was the one guy screaming his lungs out after every all in he won. Don't remember? Check this video to refresh your mind:
(the hand starts about 6:20 in)
Anyway, Andersson is playing today and he's up to about 11,000 in chips. He just won a pot where he bit 1,150 on | | . His opponent check-folded and Anderson quietly raked in the chips. Quietly yeah, no screaming yet.
We found Matthias De Meulder all in with on a flop of . Unfortunately for him, his opponent held for trip kings. De Meulder didn't improve on the last two cards, and his tournament is over.
Normally we don't update you on tables being broken but we are reporting on Kenny Hallaert's table being broken just. He was seated on Brasilia Gold table #2 and that's a table which under normal circumstances wouldn't get broken ever on day one. It's supposed to be the next to last table in the high to low breaking order. There was something wrong with one of the tables legs though so the Belgian and his table mates are being relocated. The table isn't broken, but it might just get broken earlier now that it's situated somewhere else. Hallaert brings 13,000 to his new table.
