Revenge for Bigelow

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #84: Matthias Bednarek raised to 100,000, and Jason Bigelow called from the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Bigelow checked, and Bednarek continued for 175,000. Bigelow announed, "all-in," and Bednarek called. The players turned up their cards:

Bednarek: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Bigelow: {5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The situation from the previous hand was inverted, with Bednarek now holding the overpair and Bigelow holding the open-ended straight draw. The turn was the {4-Clubs}, completing Bigelow's straight and giving him a measure of revenge from the last hand. The meaningless river was the {8-Diamonds}, and Bednarek doubled up.

Hand #85: Dana Castaneda raised to 130,000 from under the gun, and no one called.

Hand #86: Jason Bigelow raised to 125,000 from under the gun. Dana Castaneda called from the big blind. The flop came {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Castaneda checked, and Bigelow bet 150,000, Castaneda called, and the dealer turned the {k-Clubs}. Castaneda checked again, and Bigelow checked behind. The river was the {6-Diamonds}. Castaneda moved all in, and Bigelow folded.

Bednarek Gets Lucky and Doubles Again

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #82: From the button, Castaneda opened with a raise and she was able to take down the pot with that raise when both blinds folded.

Hand #83: From the button Bigelow opened to 125,000. Bednarek moved all in from the small blind. When action was back on Bigelow, he snap called for Bednarek's entire 1,315,000 chip stack.

Bednarek: {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Bigelow: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came down {3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} giving Bednarek an open-ended straight draw. It was a draw he would hit when the {7-Clubs} dropped on the turn. The river was just salt in Bigelow's wound when the {q-Spades} dropped, giving him a useless set. With that Bednarek doubled with a straight and made Bigelow the shortest stack.

Bigelow Getting Involved

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #77: Jason Bigelow raised to 100,00 under the gun and Dana Castaneda called. The flop was the {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Castaneda checked, and Bigelow continued for 125,000. Castaneda folded, and Bigelow won the pot.

Hand #78: Matthias Bednarak raised to 100,000 from the button. Dana Castaneda called from the small blind, and Jason Bigelow three-bet to 475,000 from the big blind. Both other players folded, and Bigelow won the pot.

Hand #79: Jason Bigelow limped from the small blind, and Matthias Bednarek checked his option. The flop came {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and both players checked. Bigelow bet 50,000 when the {3-Spades} fell on the turn, and Bednarek folded.

Hand #80: Mattias Bednarek raised to 125,000 from the small blind, and Dana Castaneda called from the big blind. The flop was {3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Bednarek bet 150,000, and Castaneda quickly raised to 400,000. Bednarek folded, and Castaneda took the pot.

Michael Zucchet Eliminated in 4th Place ($143,642)

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Zucchet
Michael Zucchet

Hand #76: Under the gun, Dana Castaneda raised to 150,000. From the small blind, Michael Zucchet reraised to 375,000. Castaneda just flat called the bet when action folded back to her. On the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Spades} flop, Zucchet led for 365,000. Castaneda called. The turn came the {5-Diamonds}. Zucchet moved all in and Castaneda called.

Castaneda: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Zucchet: {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Castaneda was ahead, but Zucchet could still pick up the pot with any nine or four to complete his straight. The river fell the {8-Hearts} giving Zucchet a pair, but not a good enough pair to notch him the double up. With that Zucchet was eliminated from the tournament in fourth place.

Castaneda Getting Aggressive

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #71: Dana Castaneda raised to 125,000 and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #72: Jason Bigelow raised to 105,000 from the button, and Matthias Bednarek called from the big blind. The flop came {2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Bednarek checked, and Bigelow bet 150,000. Bednarek called, and the {7-Diamonds} came on the turn. Both players checked, and the {a-Clubs} fell on the river. Both players checked again, and we saw a showdown.

Bednarek: {j-}{10-}
Bigelow: {j-}{3-}

Neither player held a club, and Bednarek won the pot with his pair of jacks and ten kicker.

Hand #73: Jason Bigelow raised to 100,000 under the gun, and all three other players called. The flop was {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, and all four players checked. The dealer turned the {4-Clubs}, and Matthias Bednarek led out for 160,000. Only Dana Castaneda called. The river was the {a-Hearts}, and Bednarek checked. Castaneda bet 360,000, and Bednarek folded, yielding the pot to Castaneda.

Hand #74: Dana Castaneda raised to 175,000 from the small blind and won the pot.

Hand #75: Matthias Bednarek raised to 125,000, and Jason Bigelow three-bet to 300,000. Everyone else folded, and Bigelow won the pot

Pair of Threes Good For Bednarek

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #66: Matthias Bednarek raised to 100,000 from the button and received calls from Dana Castaneda in the small blind and Jason Bigelow in the big blind.

The flop came down {3-Clubs}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Castaneda and Bigelow checked to Bednarek who fired 110,000. Castaneda folded, but Bigelow called and the two men saw the {6-Hearts} on the turn. On that turn both players checked. The river was the {9-Hearts}. Both players checked again. Bednarek showed his {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and his two pair was good to take down the pot.

Hand #67: Bednarek raised to 100,000 from under the gun and that was good enough to take down the blinds and antes.

Hand #68: Jason Bigelow raised to 100,000 from the button and he was able to take down the blinds and the antes with that raise.

Hand #69: From the small blind Bednarek raised to 100,000. Castaneda called. On the {4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} flop Bednarek led out for 120,000. Castaneda reraised to 365,000 and that was good enough to get Bednarek to fold.

Hand #70: From under the gun Michael Zucchet raised to 100,000 and he was able to win the antes and blinds without a contest.

Bednarek Doubles Through Castaneda

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Matthias Bednarek
Matthias Bednarek

Hand #65: Matthias Bednarek limped from the small blind, and Dana Castaneda raised to 80,000 from the big blind. Bednarek called, and the flop came {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Bednarek checked, Castaneda bet 65,000, and Bednarek check-raised to 165,000. Castaneda then re-raised all in. Bednarek thought for a few moments before calling:

Castaneda: {a-}{a-}
Bednarek: {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Castaneda was ahead with her pocket aces, but Bednarek gained a lot of outs when the {6-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Any seven, eight, nine, or diamond would win the pot for him. The river was the {7-Spades}, giving Bednarek trips and the pot. He doubled up to 840,000 on the hand.
