Six Low Gets Devo Some Chips

Nível 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Stud- 8

Devonshire: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} / {x-}
Opponent 1: {x-}{x-}/ {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} / {x-}
Opponent 2: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {x-}

We caught up with the action on fifth street, where we saw that Bryan Devonshire had made a raise to 800 after one player bet and the other called. Both players called, and Devonshire bet on sixth and seventh street. Both players begrudgingly called on sixth and seventh, and Devonshire showed a {3-Spades} for a six low. Opponent 1 showed an {a-Clubs} for a pair of aces, but opponent 2 held {q-Spades} and {8-Hearts} in the hole for two pair.

It's been an up and down day for Devo. He was up to 9,300, but he lost some chips, as that pot only bumped him up to 7,300.

Sexton Losing Chips

Nível 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Omaha-8

A player in early position made it 400 to go, and Mike Sexton was the lone caller from the small blind. The flop came down a juicy looking {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, and Sexton led right now. His opponent raised it up, and Sexton made the call. The turn brought the {a-Clubs}, and Sexton checked this time. His opponent fired out again, and after a while of thought, Sexton folded his hand.

After taking that hit, Sexton is down to a third of his starting stack with 2,250.

Ivey Calls the Whole Way

Nível 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Stud-8

Ivey: {x-}{x-} / {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades} / {x-}

We caught up on the action on fifth street. Ivey was in position on his opponent, and he called bets on every street while we were there. Ivey revealed {k-} {2-} in the hole for two pair, and though he figured his opponent was betting a low, he mucked, giving the pot to Ivey. After that one, Ivey is one of our early leaders with 12,000.

The late registrants keep on coming, and we don't expect it to stop until registration is over at the end of the next break.

Bach Gets Scooped

Nível 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Stud-8

Opponent 1: {x-}{x-} / {2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} / {x-}
Bach: {x-}{x-} / {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}
Opponent 2: {x-}{x-} / {6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} / {x-}

There was a sea of chips in the middle when we arrived, and saw that Bach was facing a river bet of 300. He made the call, as the opponent 2, and opponent 1 showed {a-Spades}{3-Clubs} in the hole for two pair. Opponent 2 didn't have a flush, but he did have the {5-Diamonds} and {2-Hearts} for a low. Bach couldn't beat either hand, and tossed his cards away, dropping to 2,800 in the process.

More Chippies

Nível 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Here are a few counts from the other side of the room.

A Few Chippies

Nível 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Because this is a limit event, there isn't much chip movement in the first couple of levels. But here's how a few of the notables are fairing so far.
