Bakker Loses the Minimum

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Dutch poker aficionado Robbie Bakker told us he had pocket fives in the big blind in a limped pot. He flopped a set on {J-}{10-}{5-} and check-called a bet from an older gentleman. Bakker continued to check-call bets on the {4-}-turn and {10-}-river, only the be shown {10-}{10-} for quads. Robbie Bakker lost the minimum with his flopped set and rivered full house, and still has some fighting power left.

Duval Suffers Severe Losses

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Bracelet winner Jason Duval was already down to 1,500 in chips when we saw him playing a hand. From the big blind he checked on a {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop. All four players checked eventually and the {K-Spades} fell on the turn. The small blind, Duval in the big blind and another player checked again, but a player in late position bet 75. The small blind folded but Duval and the other player made the call. The {8-Clubs} hit the river and both players checked to the late-position better. He bet 250 this time and Duval was the only one calling. Duval had to muck as his opponent showed a flopped set of treys: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Van Zadelhoff Off to Good Start

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

After an opponent raised up preflop, Steven van Zadelhoff defended his blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Van Zadelhoff wanted to be the aggressor and led out for 350. His opponent called.

The turn came the {k-Spades}. Van Zadelhoff bet out big for 750. This bet was big enough to get his opponent off the hand. Van Zadelhoff was off to a good start with up to 5,700.

More Familiar Faces

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Shannon Shorr played the $111,111 One Drop High Roller yesterday but busted out before the end of the day. He's back at it today, this time in a tournament with a slightly smaller buy-in. Also in attendance is Belgian Team Pro Matthias De Meulder seated in the same room as his twin brother Christophe De Meulder. Dutch old school players Govert Metaal and Ton Kleijnen are competing, braceletwinner Athanasios Polychronopoulos is in the Silver section and two time bracelet runner-up Joe Serock is seated in the gold section.
