Tran Trampled

Nível 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 94: Van Tran opened to in the small blind to 120,000 and was met with a three-bet by Barny Boatman in the big blind. Tran almost immediately moved all in and Boatman folded.

Hand 95: Boatman opened to 120,000 from the button and both blinds called., meaning it was three-handed to the {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. All three players checked and the dealer put the {6-Clubs} onto the turn. O'Donoghue led for 210,000 and only Boatman called. Both players checked the {K-Clubs} turn, Boatman winning with the {7-}{4-}, beating O'Donoghue's {8-}{6-}.

Hand 96: Tran completed the small blind and Boatman checked. Tran then check-folded to a 60,000 bet on the {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop.

Hand 97: Tran has just been left with dust after losing an all-in pot against O'Donoghue. Tran opened to 120,000, O'Donoghue three-bet to 300,000 and then called when Tran moved all in.

Tran: {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}
O'Donoghue: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

"He's an animal!" one of those railbirds shouted as Boatman stacked his chips.

Hand 91: Boatman made it 209,000 to play from the small blind and it won him the blinds and antes.

Boatman Flops a Set and Doubles to the Chip Lead

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Barney Boatman
Barney Boatman

Hand #79: In one of the biggest pots of the tournament Barny Boatman just doubled up through, till that moment commanding, chip leader Brian O'Donoghue.

Barny Boatman limped in from the small blind but the action would soon explode. Brian O'Donoghue in the big blind made it 150,000 and then it began: Boatman made it 375,000 and O'Donoghue bumped it up to 700,000. Now Boatman made the call and the flop appeared: {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

Boatman bet out 400,000 and O'Donoghue raised (again), now to 800,000. Boatman pushed all in for 2.1 million and O'Donoghue made the call. Boatman showed his flopped set with {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and O'Donoghue frustratedly tabled his {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. O'Donoghue needed a king but wouldn't get it: {9-Hearts} on the turn and {9-Spades} on the river. Barny Boatman is now the big stack three handed.

Hand #78: Brian O'Donoghue made it 100,000 on the button and Barny Boatman made the call from the big blind. Both checked on {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and O'Donoghue bet out 125,000 on the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. Taras Kripps Eliminated in Fourth Place ($172,087)

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Taras Kripps
Taras Kripps

Hand #76: Taras Kripps pushed all in for 875,000 from the small blind and Brian O'Donoghue made the call out of the big blind. Kripps showed {K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} while O'Donoghue had found a good hand with {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The {5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Spades} on the flop didn't do anything for Kripps but the {K-Diamonds} on the turn did. Kripps needed to avoid a queen or ace now but didn't succeed in that mission: {Q-Spades} on the river. O'Donoghue had made a straight and eliminated Kripps that way.

The remaining three players are guaranteed $239,339.
