Bardah Picks One Up

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Ronnie Bardah
Ronnie Bardah

Defending champion Ronnie Bardah raised from the button, the big blind three-bet, and Bardah called.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, and the big blind check-called a bet from Bardah to see the {5-Diamonds} pair the board on the turn. The big blind checked, and Bardah checked back. Then, the {4-Clubs} landed on the river. The big blind bet, Bardah raised, and the big blind folded.

Bardah, who won this event last year, moved to 27,000 in chips.

David "Bakes" Baker Here on Day 2
David "Bakes" Baker Here on Day 2

With the action folded around to him in the small blind, an unknown player raised and David "Bakes" Baker defended his big blind with a raise to three bets.

After the other player called, the dealer spread a flop of {j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} across the felt. Despite the preflop aggression, both players checked the flop, as well as the {10-Diamonds} on the turn.

When the {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Baker's opponent checked once more, but "Bakes" took down the pot with bet.

Break it Up

Nível 10 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

The players are now on break, after making a mass migration from the Pavilion to the Amazon Room.

In other news, we are working feverishly to correct the internet connectivity issues here at the PokerNews Live Reporting desk, and when the cards are back in the air, we hope are signal will be as well.

Ray Henson Hits the Rail

Nível 10 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Holding the button, Ray Henson opened for a raise before the flop, with Benjamin Scholl and an unknown player coming along.

The flop fell {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Henson called a single bet, as did the unknown player. On the {J-Spades} turn, Scholl bet again and Henson flatted, but the third player made it two bets to play. Scholl called the raise, and Henson mucked to bring the {9-Spades} to the table on the river.

Fifth street was checked down and Scholl mucked when the unknown player rolled over {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the winner.

Shortly afterward, Henson was eliminated from the tournament.

Jeffrey Lisandro Here on Day 2
Jeffrey Lisandro Here on Day 2

Jeffrey Lisandro opened for a raise before the flop, and flatted when Jon Seaman made it two bets to go. On the {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, Lisandro called a bet, and he did the same on the {j-Clubs} turn.

Both players checked the {9-Hearts} on the river, and Lisandro flipped up his {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for the winner.

Hambone

Nível 10 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Holding the {A-}{J-} and riding a short stack, Jared Hamby got his last bets into the middle on a five-high flop.

Unfortunately for him, an opponent holding {A-}{5-} called him down, and bricks on the turn and river left Hamby with no pair, and no more chips.

In the Dark

Nível 10 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

We apologize for the lack of updates recently, but temporary connectivity issues with the wireless service here in the Pavilion have left us in the proverbial dark.

As soon as service is restored the reports will resume at their regular pace.
