Allen Cunningham (Seen Here in Earlier WSOP Play)

After calling an opening raise of 600, Allen Cunningham took a flop of {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} against two opponents. One player led out for 1,600, Cunningham flatted in position, and the third player got out of the way.

On the {9-Clubs} turn, Cunningham's opponent slowed down with a check, and the five-time bracelet winner took the pot down with his own 1,600 wager.

Olisar Stacks One Off

Nível 8 : 0/0, 200 ante

Ryan Olisar called an opponent's all in with {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. He was relieved to find out that his opponent had {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Olisar was safe to find out the board ran good for him with the {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. He collected his opponent's chips and moved his stack up to 30,000.

Bad River

David Williams Did Not Like the Bad River on a Recent Hand
David Williams Did Not Like the Bad River on a Recent Hand

David Williams was seen sending a portion of his stack across the table, and while we missed his hand, it was evident that a bad beat had just occurred.

Williams' opponent had the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} tabled, with a board of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} telling the tale. The all-player had risked his last 5,900 at some point in the hand, and when the river spiked his set, he earned a doublet through one of poker's brightest stars.

***Update*** With the assistance of Twitter, we've discovered that Williams was holding the {J-}{J-} when the rivered set sabotaged his stack. We'll let Williams recap the action though.

David WilliamsRan it up in #WSOP45 ante only NL only to get heaps in pre w/ JJ vs 66. River 6 and my opp says "sorry man". Super short with 150/678 left.

WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart Presents the Winners Photo to Justin Oliver, Winner of Event #38: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em (Four Handed)

After winning his first gold WSOP bracelet earlier in the week, accomplishing a long-held dream in the process, Justin Oliver tried his hand here today in the ante-only tournament.

Despite making a fairly deep run here on Day 1, Oliver's quest for two bracelet scores in a seven day span ended just a few minutes ago.

We noticed Oliver's seat was empty, and his tablemates informed us that Oliver had been showered.

Tran, Cooper Stacking Up

Nível 7 : 0/0, 100 ante

We found Michael Cooper firing a bet of 2,400 on the river with the board reading {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. His opponent made the call and shook his head when Cooper turned over {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for trip eights.

At an adjacent table, JC Tran check-called a flop bet on {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. We didn't catch the turn action, but Tran checked the river after the {9-Clubs} and {4-Spades} had hit the board. His opponent checked back, and Tran tabled {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for trip nines.

Who is... The Kuhn?

Nível 7 : 0/0, 100 ante

After hearing the familiar refrain of "all in... and a call!," we headed over to find Rob Kuhn with his last 12,250 at risk.

The flop had fallen {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Spades}, and after checking to the preflop raiser, Kuhn moved his stack into the middle over the top of a 1,600 c-bet.

His opponent called with a stack nearly equal to the all-in wager, and Kuhn flipped up the {Q-Spades}{3-Spades} expecting to be drawing against a made hand. The caller revealed the {8-Spades}{9-Spades}, however, and Kuhn found himself in a fortuitous position.

When the {5-Spades} peeled off on the turn, followed by an irellevant {K-Clubs} on the river, the pot was pushed to Kuhn.

"You taking care of my money over there?," asked a friend from the next table over, who obviously put Kuhn in the running here today.

"Of course," replied Kuhn smoothly. "Just stacking people with the queen-three like usual."

Eaton Eats Up Malherbe's Chips

Nível 7 : 0/0, 100 ante

Jean Malherbe was all in with {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and at risk. Jon Eaton called him with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Malherbe did not stay in his seat long as the flop came {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. His chances of coming back and hitting a queen were slim to none. The turn was no help with the {7-Hearts}. The river was the {6-Diamonds} and that finished off Malherbe, while Eaton chipped up to 40,000 in the process.
