Bert Burns Eliminated in 23rd Place ($10,187)

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Mike Ellis raised to 23,000 preflop. Bert Burns then pushed all in for the rest of his chips, and Rachel Kranz moved all in over the top. Ellis folded, and the players revealed the hands:

Burns: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Kranz: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Kranz won the pot with her pair of jacks, and Burns was eliminated in 23rd place, winning $10,187.

Gerasimos Deres Eliminated in 24th Place ($10,187)

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

On the last hand before the break, Gerasimos Deres pushed all in for his last 70,000 preflop and was called by Bryce Landier. The players turned up their cards:

Deres: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Landier: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board rolled out {5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, putting two pair on the board. Landier won the pot with his ace kicker, and Deres was eliminated, earning $10,187.

Aung Thu Eliminated in 25th Place ($10,187)

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Sergey Tikhonov check-raised the turn against Aung Thu on a board of {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-}. The two got it all in to put Thu at risk.

Thu: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Tikhonov: {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Tikhonov was way behind on the flop, but he had turned two pair to take a commanding lead. Only an ace would save Thu. The river was a {q-}, and Thu hit the rail in 25th.

Mark DeFari Eliminated in 26th Place ($10,187)

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked Mark DeFaria got the last of his chips in the middle preflop against Sergey Tikhonov. Tikhonov held {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. DeFaria had overcards to Tikhonov's pair with {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades}, missing both players, and Tikhonov's sevens won the pot, eliminating DeFaria in 26th place. He earns $10,187 for his efforts.

"I Make the Right Call Every Time and Lose"

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Mark Jun opened for 20,000 in the cutoff, and Chris DeMaci moved all in for 168,000 from the small blind. Jun went into the tank, and he called after about a minute.

Jun: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
DeMaci: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

"Alright, ace on the flop," Jun said.

He didn't get an ace, but he did catch a pair of tens on the {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop. The turn was a {6-Diamonds}.

"Seven," Jun said, willing a brick to come out. "Seven."

The dealer burned and turned a {k-Hearts} though, giving DeMaci new life and a sizable stack, and cutting Jun's stack in about half.

"Jesus Christ," he said. "I make the right call every time and lose."
